Recently I had a Trans Aortic Valve Replacement at Edward Hospital. My care team was terrific and Dr. Mark Goodwin my interventional cardiologist and Moeen Saleem my EP Cardiologist did a terrific job. I was admitted on a Wednesday afternoon, had the procedure on Thursday and was home by Friday. I am extremely grateful to all who cared for me during my stay.
Everyone at the hospital treated my husband with respect and kindness. the issues we had were: 1 When people came into his room they were not aware of what others were doing for his care and tests. 2 No one seemed on the same page as to what tests were needed and who was going to follow up on them. 3 After he had an echocardiogram. The administering person said the doctor would have the results right away. The Dr. came in an hour later and did not have the results. 4 The monitor system for his heart needed new batteries. When they changed them out, they never turned the machine back on. We were sitting in his room for 3 hours without anyone monitoring him and waiting for test results so he could be discharged. 5 I had to track someone down to insist they check his test results so that we might be discharged. They were talking about him ordering dinner for the night and there was no reason for us to stay. It sure felt as if they were just trying to pad the bill. 6 Our nurse was there on contract which has me concerned that they might be trying to cut costs as well. 7 Edward Hospital is now part of Duly health care however, the My Chart is not synced with the duly health care my chart. This caused some confusion and is frustrating.
What a wonderful experience with all personnel. They were so understanding of my anxiety and panic situations. Thrilled beyond belief.
I had two separate heart procedures done in March and was completely satisfied with my care and attention. The hospital staff beginning with the surgeons, nurses, and technicians were very friendly, kind and catered to my every need. I was very pleased with my hospital experience.
Edward Heart Hospital is the finest I've been in. I had my first heart attack in 2006 and found Dr Larkin. Sadly hes retired. In Dec of 2016 I had 3 attacks in 9 day. Dr S Slaluba was in the hospital the evening I was brought in with a heart rate of 30. I coded on him 5 times. I am here today because of this doctor and his colleague Dr Saleem and the cardiac clinic staffed with talented nurses also a great rehab facility. These are the talented people who have kept me alive. I'm feeling better as time has gone by. My thanks to all of them.
Family member had an appointment! Staff member took temperature check ask a couple of ?'s and gave surgical mass to put on oppose to my cloth mask I was wearing Before going to area ! Clean and professional building !
The lady at the reception desk was very rude . I came in having an asthma attack , she brushed me off . If I can give them 0 stars I would ! I thought a hospital was suppose to help ! First and last time ever going there
I was very impressed with the pediatric department, they have the best care for children and adults, I have taken all o f my children here for years. I recently moved and I am very close to Rush Copley and would NEVER GO TO RUSH COPLEY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. The care and Treatment at Edward's is next to none, you are treated with professional care, respect and like you actually matter. At Edwards they do not do unnecessary tests to charge your insurance company like certain other hospitals I wont keep slamming by name that terrible hospital I mentioned if you want the best for your family and loved ones I strongly recommend you come here to Edward's. I will never go anywhere else besides Edward's Hospital in Naperville Illinois.
Nurses were outstanding they really cared about us as patients didn't just do their job they went above and beyond
Very good experience with the ER staff! We’ve lived in many states throughout our lifetime and I can confidently say this hospital is very organized and efficient. The staff is competent and caring. Upon arrival a greeter showed us to a RN who gathered our info. She was front and center and gave specific instructions. She was in charge making our experience a breeze. We were then taken to registration, then escorted to triage. Upon our arrival in triage we were happily greeted by an RN and the ER doc. This hospital/ ER should be a model for other hospitals. Their bedside manner is amazing. They take charge to ensure a seamless process. Our nurse had a good sense of humor adding a little levity. No one is waiting unattended to for hours or even minutes. This ER runs like a Swiss watch! Other than the Cleveland Clinic, this is the best in the business! Before we knew it, we were moved to another room where we were greeting by an anesthesiologist and surgeon for an appendectomy. The surgery went well. Thank you Dr. Klade; Which we were grateful. It was a long day but they put us at ease. The waiting rooms are very clean! It’s obvious everyone takes pride in their work. Edwards Hospital is a blessing! Thank you! Keep it up!
