I delivered here via c section a week ago and I want to thank my nurses for taking really good care of me you can tell they truly love their jobs Allison, Carla, Michelle, hazel, Tara, Ashley. My only complaint is I was very disappointed the tiny corner room they threw me in it was my first time at this hospital and reading about how they had big modern suites online well I didn’t get that even the nurses struggled to walk in there just see for yourself . The bed was almost touching the wall. Had to constantly roll the crib so they could get through. It was just a bad annoying experience I asked to leave as soon as the second day I couldn’t stand being there any longer. Even mt Sinai hospital had huge rooms when I delivered my 4 other children.
I went to ER for lower back pain and can’t speak highly enough of experience. Everyone was so pleasant and professional. I was eventually admitted to Heart Hospital and was there for two days. Amazing staff of nurses and technicians. I think I had 6-7 shift changes and smooth as can be. Food service was very efficient even though food was not always flavorful. Lots of variety though. The hospital is well run and always has been. Only complaint is transportation appears to be backed up. Don’t know if short staffed or just busy as I waited easily 45 minutes for return to room. I was brought down by an ultrasound technician because of over an hour wait to go to procedure. I thought that was really nice on her part. ,
I had a very positive experience with Edward hospital staff, nurses, and doctors. It takes a village to bring a baby into the world, and everyone we interacted with was generous, cheerful, compassionate and patient. Both my husband and I felt listened to, respected, and cared for in a myriad of ways. Special shout out to Grace, one of the night nurses in Mother and Baby, who was a Divine Being truly living out her vocation. She gave so much wisdom and comfort in the most vulnerable hours. Thank you, Edward Hospital!
I came in at 40+2 days and ended up getting induced. It was my first time giving birth and My labor/delivery nurse was amazing and attentive. My Ob also made my experience special… The nurses on mother/baby unit weren’t as great. Seems as though they don’t want to be bothered. The nurse that gave my son his first bath mean mugged a lot and I did not trust her with my son. The next day a nurse came in and took my IV out and failed to notice I was bleeding everywhere. I was also bleeding on my baby. She wrapped my baby in a bloody receiving blanket instead of a clean one. Throughout my stay the nurses did not check on me as much nor did they provide me with helpful tools to care for my baby as a first time mom. Labor/delivery nurses are amazing. However mother baby nurses need to practice bedside manner or don’t enter a profession they don’t feel passionately about.
I cannot say enough about this hospital. The Doctors, nursing staff and all of the people there are amazing. My Son was having difficulty breathing and fevers as well. When we arrived in the ER at Edward, they acted very quickly and were able to admit him pretty fast. He was diagnosed with double pneumonia and was in septic shock! Ultimately, the Doctors found the cause was a rare bacterial infection found in younger adults. The staff was so supportive and the care and treatment was first class. Thank you Edward staff, God bless you guys.
We were there because a family member was having surgery. I'm shocked at how dirty this hospital is. From floors to windows and everything in between. The bathrooms in the new surgical waiting area were disgusting. I used my shoe to put down the toilet seat. The toilets as well as floors appear to have not been cleaned in a very long time. Garbage overflowing. Shared bathrooms, so men, please put the SEAT DOWN! Walking thru the rest of the hospital to go to Starbucks in a center area where you can sit and enjoy nice area, was full of dirty tables. Every place we went as we walk-around was dirty, I would be concerned to have anything done for fear of infection. The patient we were with there was also surprised at how dirty and rundown this hospital is. Plans to find a new Dr if this one doesn't have privileges in another hospital. Hospitals are supposed to be clean. This looks worse than a county hospital .
Nurse Candice and Nurse Maggie were kind, personable, caring, energetic and attended to every need in Neuro ICU. They never appeared bothered by any request. Their attention to details was impressive. The food was good and the cafe even offered room service meals for my wife.
Helpful nursing assistants, technicians. Every nurse was kind and professional! I wish I could write something special about every nurse or technician I encountered, but I do not recall everyone's name. Professionalism combined with kindness still lives! These people were working 12-hour shifts and are to be commended and well-compensated. I was in room 333.
I just had my baby via C-section and I could not say more positive things about this staff and hospital. The nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing and made my husband and I feel so comfortable on the labor and delivery floor and mother baby floor. I had a lot of issues after birth that needed care very attentively and everyone was there every step of the way providing me physical and emotional support as well as for my husband and new baby. 10/10 recommended!!
Run as fast as you can away from Edward Hospital. Tonight was just another disappointment at this hospital. If I could give zero stars for the ER doctor who treated me and the triage nurse I would. The triage nurse downplayed our symptoms and the ER doctor told me it was such a coincidence that me and my daughter had similar problems. I won’t go into specifics of our diagnosis here but the Duly Immediate Care felt differently. So much so that they sent us to the ER. If you’re in pain or feel sick don’t go here. This ER sucks and I hope I don’t ever need to return.
