I went in for an appointment today AND FELT VERY SICK to see Dr. Mohammed and I must say the service and treatment was way below average. She Came into the room and did not speak, had her arms folded and kept a distance, never interacted with me or gave eye contact. Dr. F. MOHAMMED was aggressive AND HAD ON dirty contaminated gloves that she refused to change AFTER WIPING HER NOSE AND TYPING ON THE KEYBOARD. SHE ASKED WHAT I NEEDED HER TO DO AND AFTER A 3 MINUTE CONVERSATION SHE TOLD ME I WILL BE FINE BY THE WEEKEND AND TAKE TYLENOL. I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT OF DR. BROTON FOR A WHILE AND SHE WAS PHENOMENAL AND WILL BE MISSED. I CANT BELIEVE I WAS TREATED THIS BAD AFTER PAYING A copay and being advised to take OTC medicine. She was ignoring me, rushing me and cutting me off when I had questions. Why even work if you are going to send patients home, sick and their health condition unaddressed. She needs to be removed from practicing until she can learn how to properly treat people.
5 Stars for Dr. Maria Quejada. She's wonderful, kind, caring, understanding and very professional. She's been treating my mom's terminal cancer for over 2 years. Couldn't ask for a better Oncologist. Kim Rohan and Jen are also wonderful. I thank all 3 of them for everything they've done for my mom. One star is for some select nurses that administer the treatment. I used to go back and sit with my mother during her treatment until covid hit. Now they are allowing people back again but I have recently had my leg amputated and am in a wheelchair. Even though I can get around in my wheelchair on my own with no help, they will not allow me to sit with my mom during her treatment. They said that I am no help to her. I'm not a doctor or a nurse. I didn't think I was there to help them do their job, isn't that what they're paid to do? I go with my mom to drive her to her appointments since she can't drive and to support her through her terminal cancer. This is clearly a case of discrimination against the handicapped. I've never had a problem with anyone at Edwards until recently and I'm very disappointed with the way I've been treated lately.
If I could give no star I would. I do not like going to doctors appointments as it is but found an amazing doctor with this group. Unfortunately my doctor left this group so I decided to see the replacement doctor, Monica Martens. First appointment went well but an appointment 3 months later was horrible. I had an early morning appointment, probably the second or third of the day. Monica was at least 15-20 minutes late for my appointment and stated several times during my appointment that she couldn’t discuss all my concerns because she only had 15 minutes to see me yet she decided to prescribe a medication even without full knowledge. She was definitely not professional during this time and kept looking at the time. The staff is great but I’ll never go back to see this doctor.
Same situation as described 3 years ago. Have an 815 scheduled, asked to come in at 730 [was actually asked to be in earlier], show up and get checked in and then told, the doctor arrives at 8. So, we arrive early, do we see the doctor at our scheduled time? Nope. If you're going to ask people to come in early then you better respect their time and see the patient on time. Clearly, this place does not respect anyone else's time but their own doctors. Must be great to be in a field where the people you serve have absolutely no control of their health care options and you can be unprofessionally late and suffer no consequences.
Had a great experience with Dr. Mohammed. She was very attentive, asked a lot of questions, and I did not feel rushed at all. She made sure I understood everything and I can tell she truly cares about her patients. I made my appointment and got in the same day and only waited 5 minutes. Great staff at the front desk as well!
Edward Medical Group is a large hospital system. It's clean and convenient, with several doctors to see and sometimes same-day appointments with a nurse. Lab appts are especially convenient. Unfortunately, large health systems lose their personal touch. The doctors are overbooked, a call center takes your calls and it can take weeks to get in for an appointment. If you are generally healthy and only see the doctor for routine visits, you will be fine here. For other patients like myself, I prefer the personal touch and genuine concern delivered by independent doctors.
Show up for my first OB appointment that I scheduled a month ago, I'm transferring from a different doctor since I moved and I'm 30 weeks pregnant due January 17th. They asked me for my records and I tell them that no one informed me I needed to bring them. I'm a very diligent note taker during every appointment and phone call, I wouldn't have missed that detail I was then informed that the doctor can't see me without them and I'll need to reschedule. The next available for new patients is a month before my due date... I filled out the paperwork they sent me before my appointment with no mention of records in it either and showed up early with every scrap of info I have and I get punished because they didn't tell me to bring my records. I'm ecstatic. :
Always had issues with appointments. Plainfield office front desk staff is worse. They will cancel your appointments on their own, they will just call u, oh I just cancel ur appt. Never willing to help you. Naperville staff is much nicer. Dr. Imam and Dr. Chen r the best in this group.
My Appt was originally at 5:30 I was called in the morning and asked if i can come at 5:15? OK sure. Even asked i can come earlier " no 5:15 is ok "Got to my appt 5: 18 & was told I was late and had to reschedule. Dr could not see me. I work in medical industry & This would never happen in my office! Whatever happened to patient care!?
New to the area and establishing care. Felt very safe with covid protocols. Saw Dr. Mohammed and she took her time to address all of my concerns. The rest of the team was also warm and welcoming.
