Childhood dream. That was on my bucket list when in NY. Cool people you can talk to and they are always happy for you to take photos inside. There is something cool about these places in NY. Go there or any other one in area. You will be welcomed for sure.
I remember when my Dad worked here in the early 80s. I would come by all the time, and stayed the night once here. As a child I never understood how important my father's job was. Or how great it felt being in that uniform, driving those fire trucks at a moments notice. Thank you FDNY heroes, for all of your sacrifices I know its not easy! #FDNYKID
22 years ago today this firehouse went to the world trade center to save as many people as they could after the terrorist attacks. A few years after this happened, my sister got married and when I was in New York I wanted to visit this firehouse because i have the dvd of the documentary done at the firehouse. A few of the firefighters I got to meet were so incredibly nice and so welcoming. They showed me around the firehouse and made my visit so special.
After 22 years…. I send all my love to Ladder 1 from Germany. You showed to the whole world what hero’s u and all the firefighters and first responders are. Not only that day, every day. U gave us hope back in these dark times about the good in humanity, about true friendship and what a hero is all about. Thank you. We will always remember you. Thanks to Jules and Gedeon who made this deeply touching documentary, without them we would have never had a chance to get to know u a little bit and what your job means to all of us, no matter where we live.
After 24 years I was back in this firehouse. Since that moment a lot has happened...... All doors were closed but the door opened 2 seconds after I rang the doorbell. The men were all very friendly and curious to know who we were. I brought some pictures that were taken 24 years ago. And I took a lot of new pictures. My family were also very happy with this nice experience. I will come back when I’am in NY again.
Thank you for making this day even more beautiful. Next time, I’ll take more Swiss chocolates . Take care, French guys with the helmet
These men went above and beyond for me and I want to thank them publicly. NYC FINEST hands down, these men need 2 bonuses.
Thank you so much Joseph Pfeiffer I love you and all your brothers who were lost that day especially your own brother Kevin Pfeiffer who u saw last time on September 11
Hey, I just made it through the 9/11 documentary with my 17 year old daughter. It is important to me for each of my kids to watch it and feel it. To see the impact that hate can make on the world but also to see the heroes. Thank you for what you do everyday. For all the terrible things you can't unsee. We will always remember.
Today we look back 19 years ago and Remember the heroic efforts of the NYFD NYPD and to everyone who rendered help and assistance to those affected by the attacks of 9/11. Thank you to the members of Engine 7 Ladder 1 America's most bravest of the brave
