Came to NYC to fire-buff, first house I visited, really nice guys in there, gave a tour of R1 and the house.
We wandered past and the door was open. The kids were quite excited to be ushered in an given a tour of the place by Firefighter Jim. Got to see the inside of the fire truck, the break room, the conference area. Thanks guys!
Dropped in to this station on my way back to houston. Was given a tour by brother firefighter Renaud. So much history here. The original front of the station is in the dining area and was burned in a fire several years ago and is an amazing back drop to their dining area. It's black from smoke and is truly something to see. Thanks for the hospitality guys.
In New York for our first time 7/2021. On our way to Times Square we passed through the neighborhood after visiting the U.S.S. Intrepid. As a firefighter this was a bucket list house on my list for 23 years. The fellow firefighter was awesome and talked to us for a half hour. They let my little guy sit in the truck, and went above and beyond answering questions about some relics he saw from 9/11
Such a great group! They are extremely responsive and kind. Thank you for your service.
Responded to a gas leak 911 call in under 10 minutes. Such a great team!
The best there ever was or will be. God keep you and be with you always. -A Brother from NC
