This is a great little bakery outlet. They stock our favorite thick sliced bread - Nature's Own - in many more varieties than our local grocery store, including soft rye, brioche style, and keto. It's also much cheaper at $2.29/loaf vs $3.89-$7.29! It's located half an hour away from us so we go about once a month to stock up when we have other errands to run in Charlottesville. There's just one catch... they also stock a large variety of pastries, cookies, and other treats, so you have to either be really strong to resist them, or give in to your sweet tooth like we do!. A 75 cent Tastykake cherry pie makes the 30 minute drive home a little sweeter.
Instead of buying a $3 loaf ofbread, I get the same brand for $0.99. They're still fresh!! Best place to save money. 3 weeks ago, a patron accidentally drove through the front of the store. That's why the boards in the front. They are definitely open!
Sooo glad I discovered this outlet store. I save 25-50% on baked goods I regularly purchase at retail stores.
If you are in the market for bread to feed your live stock this place is great. If you are planning on eating it your self be very careful what you buy. I purchased a pack of sunbeam giant bread one day ago, the next day I found mold. customer service was not good the cashier was complaining about the distance the had to commute everyday because her manager wouldn't hire anyone. She was stacking cakes on top of bread making the bread flat. I actually traded one of my packs with another one after checking out. She wasn't happy and was very rude when she asked that I was doing. I told her I wasn't buying flat bread. The price of the bread was good, but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR..
This is literally the best bread prices in town. $0.99 a loaf for Nature's Own Butterbread, which at the grocery store is upwards of $3, and then there's glass jarred jellies and other Hostess snacks and treats, you should definitely stop by here to see if they have something that you'll like.
I like a bargain! Fresh baked goods at a discounted price. Bought lots of great products to share with homeless individuals. Simple cupcake, brownie, or other baked good is a nice treat to enjoy. They have other items in the store, bread, buns, soup, etc. easy to access location and small parking lot in Charlottesville.
Do yourself a favor, if you want cheap bread, go to Harris teeter, food lion, or Kroger and get the cheap bread. I used to go here about once a week but last time I went I could hear the woman at the Cash register talking to the customer there about me saying I come in alot and don't buy anything, well if you don't have what I am looking to buy , of course I won't buy anything. Very rude and unprofessional to talk to customers about other customers
Unlike Mr. Tate's review the employees are all local. They don't travel very far at all. The giant bread doesn't mold that easy either. I purchase it on a monthly basis. If it was molded the store will honor your purchase as long as you bring it back with your receipt.
Great price on bread. 99¢ for a loaf is much better than the $3 at the grocery store. Especially with little kids and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches... Good price on snack cakes too!
The lady working was very pleasant and helpful.I definitely will go back.I lovethe bakery in Charlottesville Va
