A unique place to see a movie! I've attended a couple of premieres here, as well as catching a new flick without battling the crowds at AMC, and it's always a cool experience. There are over 800 seats and a balcony, so it has the feel of "old Hollywood." The staff is friendly, and while the seats are not as posh or comfortable as stadium seating or recliners, there is something neat about sacrificing that in order to see a film in such a neat venue.
Came here for early screening for Grantursimo. Great movie, by the way!! Gamer turns into F1 race driver! Movie theater location is close to the UCLA campus. It's pretty spacious and has a historical feel to it. Plenty of seats with great sounds.
Haven't been here in decades! Westwood doesn't have nearly as many tasty places to eat any more but this cinema is still good for an event movie.
It's simply the best non-Imax movie theater there is. Huge screen. The best sound. Giant auditorium with 1300 seats. Even a balcony! Why would anyone go to a generic multiplex when you could see a movie in this temple to cinema?!
Staff is so friendly, the theatre has such a nice old feel for it and they do student discounts. The bathroom is also really fancy and there’s water fountains. Love coming here
Best. Theater. Ever. Frequented this theater a lot. Friends and I would line up hours before our showing. One time while we were in line I was telling some friends of mine that I personally thought this theater had the best sound in any theater I've been to. The guy in front of me turned around and said that he was a sound engineer and had heard that Lucas used the Village as the model for THX. Go figure. Could it use an update to amphitheater seating, sure but this is a landmark that shouldn't be missed.
First time visiting this theater and was pleased with the architecture, accessibility and cleanliness.
This is a great theater with one of the best screens and the best SOUND in Los Angeles. The staff is friendly and keeps the theater looking good. Also, points for the Bruin across the street. There is no way to praise this theatre enough.
One of the best old large theater we have left in Westwood California. Fortunately they have a pristine picture and THX sound. No Time To Die is the final Daniel Craig Bond film, I had to return to the Regency Village where I saw Skyfall three times each time bring a different get of friends. If you crave that big screen experience that Christopher Nolan speaks about. Give this amazing theatre a try. Also only $11.00 for the matinee show. Love this theatre and have seen many fine movies here.
Without question, the world’s best theatre. Biggest screen in town, fantastic sound, and even a balcony. THX was actually designed using this theatre.
