After the beach we showed up at the Wharfside as a party of 5. We arrived about 7pm, waited about 40 minutes and was seated outside by the beautiful picturesque sandbar. The service was great. Shout out to Jake the food was very good and prompt, with music in the background. Great place to relax. Parking: Parking across the street was not easy to get, but i had a spot after about 5 minutes.
Server was excellent; food good, but an hour & a half wait. But it was a Sat night so we had a drink & hung out by the waterfront. A bit loud as there was a band.Food: 4/5
Love being on the patio looking at the water.. enjoying a great cocktail and food. Inside just as nice! Definitely a must go!Food: 5/5
I visited the Patio Bar this past Sunday with my wife and overall we were satisfied with what was offered although both the food and drinks are pricey. They open at 12pm and we arrived at 1pm. 80% of the parking lot was already taken at that time so keep that in mind. If you arrive later you might need to park on the street. We were able to get a a table near the band stage and the water which was nice. I noticed that after 4pm people were standing near the bar waiting for tables in the outdoor area. The ambiance is great, especially on a sunny warm day. A little more laid back with a nice view. Since it’s near the water it doesn’t get too warm. The band Nine Deez Nite was great. They are the reason we visited Patio Bar since we had seen them playing at Martell’s a couple weeks ago. They play 90s music. But note that the line up at Patio Bar varies so check their site to see who’s playing. Food was average and very pricey for what’s offered. We ordered both the mahi mahi and the fried flounder. Mahi mahi was just ok, somewhat tasteless. Fried flounder with fries and coleslaw was better and tastier. My wife had a couple frozen pina coladas and I had 2 Patio Punches in the bucket. Pina colada was good but very small for $15 and Patio Punch was ok $18. Since the weather was warm it got watery really fast so next time I will probably stick with beer or get a frozen drink. While some of the staff is friendly, some of them look miserable and seem to be unhappy with what they are doing. Our waitress didn’t smile not even a single time. Every time she brought me a drink I politely said thank you but she didn’t even look. When I went to the bar to ask the bartender to put some ice on my drink she made an angry face, put the ice and handed the glass back to me as if she was doing me a huge favor. I said thank you and she said nothing. She definitely wins the prize for the most miserable employee on that establishment. Hey lady, we spent $140 dollars, I think I deserve some ice and a “you’re welcome”, otherwise get a job feeding lions. On the other end the hostess and the red hair waitress who took our picture were much more friendly. So just to summarize this is a nice place with pricey average food and drinks and and some of the staff need to have a better attitude and need some customer service training so that we feel more welcome. Parking: There’s a parking lot but make sure you arrive early in the afternoon.
The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, with views of the Manasquan Inlet. The service is friendly and attentive, and the food is consistently good. The crab cakes are made with fresh, local crabmeat and are lightly breaded and fried. They are served with a remoulade sauce. The fish and chips are made with fresh, Atlantic cod that is battered and fried. They are served with tartar sauce and french fries. The Wharfside Seafood & Patio Bar is a great place to enjoy a casual meal with friends or family. The food is good, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. * Good food * Friendly service * Relaxed atmosphere It is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and the food is consistently good.
I usually don’t write reviews, but I was looking at my camera roll and found these pictures and it was one of my favorite days and the best restaurant I have ever been to. I came here over the summer and it was fantastic. Service was wonderful and the food was excellent. My boyfriend and I can’t wait to come back and make this restaurant our summer tradition : thank you!
Had a great time with a friend recently. Good food, excellent service and awesome atmosphere. The band was . It’s a must to come here.Food: 5/5
Food was fresh and delicious. Restaurant was packed for Mother's Day. Even with the huge crowds everything came out quick and hot. Definitely be back.Food: 5/5
With a 20 min wait for a table they don't take reservations Sat at bar and the service was par excellence! Was seated with a view of the setting sun over the water - what's not to like. One dinner guest said the fried flounder was dry. Other guest enjoyed the crab cakes and I can recommend the tuna tower.Food: 3/5
Really great food. Seafood tower was awesome. A little pricey for what you get but good nonetheless. Rosemary focaccia was so delicious, ordered it to eat with my pasta! Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating!Food: 5/5
