Had a good time on our first visit while our second was less memorable. The appetizers were good. Service was extremely slow. Main courses were decent. Oysters were fresh but could use some mignonette sause.Food: 4/5

This is our "go to" place to eat! The food is always fantastic, the atmosphere sophisticated yet approachable, the staff are always friendly and helpful. They don't chinz out on the drinks either! Not like the overpriced watered down cocktails on the boardwalk. Only 2 or 3 blocks from Jenkinsen's amusements it is a welcome oasis in the miasma of typical boardwalk experiences. The chef has never disappointed me. The chicken francese is superb, the burgers are exceptional, and everything is always perfect! This last time I tried something new, the Italian dip... Awesome! Beautiful tender, lean slices of roast beef topped with a very generous helping of fresh made mozzarella in a delicious fresh bun! Served with a simple brown gravy for dipping. It was wonderful. I would think the only way to improve it is to serve it hot and offer toppings like onions and peppers, or caramelized onions and mushrooms in a sherry Demi glace'. Mmmmm. Always a pleasure to go there! And don't forget to go to their sister restaurant if you are going north. The Cranford Hotel is exceptional and follows the same courtesies and excellence that Off Shore does! I recommend the duck poutine!!! Yummmmm! Vegetarian options: The chef is quite accommodating and has let me order off the menu quite a few times love that chicken francese'! , I am sure that vegetarian options can be found to your liking. Always check the menu and the daily specials. There are numerous fish and pasta dishes as well. Kid-friendliness: They are kid friendly but it is a bar and restaurant. Most children don't have the ability to behave very well for long enough to have a really nice supper in a very nice restaurant. So if your kids are young or riled up, please have your meal on the boardwalk. This restaurant is quiet and refined and more mature. Bathing suits, and flip flops are not de riguer'. It's a great place for couples, small groups, families with older children. It is not really the place to bring little ones, although I'm sure that they would do everything to accommodate all patrons. Parking: Parking is off street and ample, conveniently next to the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes! They have a very nice ramp that leads from the parking lot right to the front door. Dietary restrictions: Due to some dietary restrictions of my own I know that this restaurant was happy to accommodate me whether removing an item or changing it. They are very nice and helpful.
Great food and excellent service! We were lucky enough to get a table for our large group for our son’s birthday after walking the boardwalk all afternoon. The waiter was excellent, the owner came by and asked us how we were doing and was super friendly. Everyone was very satisfied with their choice of meal and it was a great family friendly atmosphere.
Scallops were delicious and the Italian wedding soup reminded me of my mother’s. The bartender Kelly did an amazing job and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, will definitely be back!!Food: 4/5
From their signature Catalina French salad dressing to the olive oil cake it was out of this world. The best buffalo chicken wings and lobster tail I've ever had. Jack the waiter was attentive and friendly and great atmosphere!Food: 5/5
The experience is a zero. There was a wedding rehearsal dinner with them that suddenly blew up. They had nothing but rude excuses for the failure to complete the plans. Unprofessional and obviously unreliable. Maybe a better deal came up for them or they double booked. I don't really care. It's still ignorant.Service: 1/5
My first time coming to this restaurant and it was amazing! The experience was quiet and laid back as we relaxed by a tucket away fireplace. Our waitress Deb was very sweet and attentive. The food was delicious and fresh. If I wasn't so full I would have eaten my whole plate because it was so good. Come hungry because they have great bread and salads too.
All of our meals were so delicious! Our waiter Tom was wonderful! We are never disappointed when we come here!Food: 5/5
