Johnny's Place on Des Plaines

Johnny’s is a good place to get comfort food in a hurry. They do have a seating area for about 30 people. We ordered carry out patti melts with fries. They do have a big Greek selection On the menu too along with offering the typical lunch items. The patti melts were 1/3 pound burgers with a generous amount of onions and cheese. We liked that the bread wasn’t saturated with butter or oil. Fries were crispy hot and not a bit greasy. Very friendly service. I’d like to try their gyro sometime.

I have been coming to this place for over a year now. Best Greek Salad ever. The Chicken is absolutely fantastic! Not only is it a great place, but it helped me out on my diet journey of loosing 100 pounds. Johnny is the Man!

Loved the chilli & fries. Friends loved the beefs. Nice and friendly. Getting out is kinda hard & cramped though but that's not their fault. Definitely will return!

I was seated inside when I went here for the first time, and the service was really slow, but the staff were all friendly and accommodating, and the food was really great and delicious. It is worth going back, and I did. I recently went to the restaurant, and I decided to try the drive through instead of eating inside, and it was a good choice because the service in the drive through was super quick and the staff were also polite and friendly. So far, I have only tried their burgers and Philly cheesesteaks, and I would say that both were delicious. It tastes just like the usual, but they make it fresh and hot and serve it hot and fresh to you as well. The portions are also good. Aside from that, the prices are also fair and reasonable. I would say that this is a really great spot, especially for a quick and delicious bite. It is immediately included in my go-to spot in this area. I have only tried a few of their foods, and there are still many to try considering that they also have a huge menu with a variety of options. I highly recommend this spot.

This place is the best! The food is amazing, good size portions and reasonably priced. The Philly Cheese steak is the best you'll ever have. All their food is great and the owner actually takes the time to say hi and thanks you for coming in. One of my go to"s for sure. Try it, you'll be happy you did!!!

Great option for an affordable lunch/dinner, high quality for the area and the price. Everything I've tried here has been quite good -- still need to explore the menu a bit more to find what they really excel at, but it seems like you can't go wrong at Johnny's.
