My parents have a spot here, and the wife and kids and I always have a great time. Very peaceful, and Ed, is a great guy! Highly recommended.
My son's camp was very nice. The people are extremely friendly.Location: 5/5
1sf visit here was to see friends that stayed their first time here. Everyone we met or even passed by was friendly. The repeat campers here welcomed you like you were here all the time, the grounds were kept nice and it was Beautiful there. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts for our visit of 4 has now turned to 3 as we lost our dear friend to cancer not so long after but in our memories of her this will be one that we will enjoy remembering at your campground.
We just spent the weekend here on the America House boat we had a great time went down to the river and fished, listened to the DJ Saturday night and sat around our firepit and laughed and talked all night. The owners are wonderful they are very accommodating making sure you have what you need, we even had a guy next to us who has worked on some TV shows so you never know who you might meet. I would definitely recommend everyone to check it out you will love it we did.
I had such a great time staying at the Lazy Dayz Riverfront Campground. I was in town working the Penn State game, and I needed an affordable place to stay within driving distance of the stadium. They are mostly an RV Park, but they have two Boat Cabins, and I rented one of those for $70/night and it was awesome, especially since it was just cold enough to be too cold to camp out. The Boat cabin had a full kitchen, bathroom with toilet & shower, a living room with a couch and table, a nice downstairs bedroom, and a deck on the front of the boat with chairs. Plus, the whole time I was in a boat ! And the proprietors, Tammy & Ed, were so nice, and I ended up hanging out with them and the tenants of the next-door boat having cocktails around the campfire for a few hours on the first night. And they have a nice pavilion with regular entertainment on the weekends. Overall, a big thumbs up for this place. Would definitely return for another in the future.
Great place; not so great owners! It was a cute, friendly camp ground! BUT; when we got there we found out the owners gave away our spot and we got stuck with a 30amp when we needed a 50amp and our electric kept shutting off. We couldn’t stay because we didn’t have service and with having a 5 month old and not knowing the area it made us uneasy. So we left after 2 weeks. Every one who came in the time we did were prorated- we paid extra thinking we’d be staying there but like I said it just didn’t work out. Now that we left we wanted the extra money we gave them back... Tammy refused to give it back; I told her she wouldn’t even have that money if we didn’t pay extra since it was prorated and we left before the 1st. I told her I was appreciating her trying to jip my family. Then she agreed to give it back. Now they just called demanding electric and pumping money WHICH is included in the lease according to the ageeement we signed.. were trying to contact them but they’re avoiding calls. They’re very unprofessional and it’s very sad that such a cute camp ground will probably go under because of them.
I would not recommend this to anyone. We only stayed there a couple weeks until we could find a new campground. We were promised 50 amp full hookup and got there after a long trip to a 30 amp no sewer hookup. And the owner still wanted to charge me $20 to pump us each time. A couple other friends that stayed there got jipped on their money also.
LOVE THIS PLACE! Great Memories made here! Family Fun! Live Entertainment from great local bands as well as Nashville Stars like Whey Jennings, Jesse Keith Whitley, Billie Gant, and celebs from the VOICE Cody Wickline, Adley Stump, and Paul Pfau have been here! Best Kayaking and Fishing on the Little Juniata! Comedy Shows, Paint Parties, Camp Feeds! Cool Houseboat rental cabins on land! ! Proud to be a part of the Lazy Dayz Camp Family ! Its mostly a seasonal RV Patk with a few weekly or weekend spots for people who just want to try it out - all of the regular seasonal campers and the owners are all so kind and welcoming!
