This was a challenging but rewarding activity for our young group of explorers. It is a beautiful tour and a lovely reprieve from the hot weather. The lights out portion was memorable. Then the kiddos aged 1 to 9 thoroughly enjoyed the panning for gems in the water. Everyone loved the gift shop and we appreciate the patience of the tour guide Shawn and the staff as little hands and heads made big decisions. Would recommend for quality family time.
Took the tour. Our tour guide Alicia was knowledgeable and informative. Very suitable for young kids and the tour is just the right length. The gift shop is cute and reasonably priced. We called twice over the phone with questions they were kind and patient helping us figure out our visit. Recommend.
I took my family here. We all had a very good time. This was our first time in caverns. So we dont have anything to compare it against. Bella was our guide and she did an excellent job telling us about the history of the caverns. She also made sure to get the children involved. I ordered tickets ahead online. We were originally to have a group of 6 , but one was not able to come along. They refunded me no problem even though online it says no refunds. I would recommend this if you are in the area, especially if you have never done it before. Very cool. Im ready to see more caves now.
I've been wanting to explore this place for a long time now, and it did not disappoint. To start, the gift shop is pretty big and has a variety of everything from candy to gems to apparel. All of the employees I interacted with were so nice, especially our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the caverns and interacted really well with the group, especially my 6 year old son with his vast curiosity. The caverns themselves were huge and did not disappoint. The 52 degrees inside was refreshing, even with the weather not being extremely hot the day I went. My favorite part was seeing the calcite in the blacklight, and my son had a shirt and shoes that glowed under it, so that was really cool for him. All in all, this is a great experience for any age in my opinion.
Truly a must see. Some of the magnificent formations started forming before the ice age which is incredible to witness. We had an excellent tour guide explaining along the way. Very interesting. The caverns were very cool, the guide was patient with our group of rowdy 5th graders and super informative. I expected it to be colder than it was and I was concerned about slipping and falling especially for my daughter who has some difficulty with rocky or slippery terrain anything uneven and unfamiliar but she was fine as long as she took it slow and easy.
Beautiful place. Awesome tour guide. A very family oriented experience.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$16–20

It's a nice experience. Tour guide was great
This place was really fun and educational. My family and I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful cave formations. The guide was friendly and very informative and made the walk even more enjoyable. Definately a go see, especially on a really hot day as it was about 50° down in the caves on a 85° summer day! So make sure to bring a coat and don't wear shorts My youngest daughter also really liked panning for semi precious stones with a bag of sandy dirt you can buy. She found about 25, 30 small stones that included, quartz, pyrite, and several others that are now a keepsake of the trip.
