Exceptional gym with an incredibly friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Adam and Karen, the owners, create an environment where everyone feels like family. I mostly take afternoon classes and the coaching from Mario and Lius is truly outstanding. Having gone to other martial arts gyms in the past, I can say NorthSouth is on another level. It is great for all levels and has been an awesome place to train!

I started my BJJ journey at North South and, while I have sadly moved out of the area temporarily, I hope I'll be able to continue it there when I'm back. I have tried several other gyms and nowhere I've been offers anything near the diversity and love of the North South crew. With multiple black belt coaches, yoga, conditioning classes, and women's classes, it's hard to find a more all-around approach to BJJ. North South felt like home the first day I was there and I'd highly recommend it to anyone in the area and interested in trying out BJJ. I can't imagine ever finding a gym I like more.

I joined north and south jujitsu. About a month ago. What sets this school apart is the incredible owners instructors. And students. They are the friendliest people I know. Really welcoming and relaxed with excellent instructors across the board, great for both kids and adults. 2 of my kids have been training here for a couple of years and they continue to be enthused and grow with it thanks to Mario, Karen and Adam, and I started training here recently and its been a fantastic experience. It's a great place to grow and learn at your own pace and I recommend it wholeheartedly and without reservation to anyone.

This place is simply the best. I attended a trial class about a year ago looking for a fun way to stay in shape. Not only did I find that, but I also found the wonderful community that North South has curated. Attending class and getting better alongside friends is the highlight of my week.

North South is a very welcoming, clean and organized Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school. On display throughout the school walls are Adam Peterson's many, many earned medals at high level competitions which lets you know you're getting quality instruction. Adam who is the owner and instructor greets you and makes you feel at home right away. I would recommend this school for any beginner or veteran who is looking to train and compete or just stay in shape.

I was a visitor. I usually train at another academy. My friend trains here and I came to check out North South Jiu Jitsu on his invitation. I had a very good first impression. It was a welcoming atmosphere, members were very friendly, instructors were very attentive, and offered great supervision and instruction. Positively recommend this academy.

Instructors are welcoming and knowledgeable. Owners - who are also instructors - are accessible and encouraging. Students are respectful and friendly. Good variety of colored belts, skill levels, and competitors/hobbyists. Numerous killers. Tailored advice given during drilling. Instructors practice and roll with students. Owners work to improve the space and encourage students' interests. Multiple classes offered most days. Focus is personal growth and improving technical skill. Environment is relaxed. Many students have trained here for several years.

The best BJJ around. North South is a family business run by a couple who are both black belts how cool is that?. The instruction is top notch, and they really go out of their way to make everyone feel at home. This is reflected in the students as well who are also very friendly. North South offers a great mix of students as well from all ages, genders, backgrounds and skill levels. You should definitely check it out if you are in the area, it blows most of the gyms around here out of the water.
