I'm writing this negative review because of the PAs. Dr. Patel is wonderful. But due to how awesome he is, he is almost always booked. Kimberly and Janelle know nothing about children. I wouldn't recommend anyone to bring their child here especially when you are concerned about them needing an antibiotic. Kimberly doesn't listen to concerns. If you have a question about your child's symptoms and were in need of a recommendation, she will not know the answer. She will have to look it up on google or in a book. She never explains what is happening or why it's happening. This leaves a tired and worried parent even more confused when their child has been sick for continuous appointments and you have to demand an antibiotic for your child to get better because she doesn't want to do the extra work to write one. Not only that but you can tell neither of the PAs have a general liking for children. That is something you can sense sadly. Unfortunately I am not the only one who has felt like this from talking with other moms in the area. Having multiple experiences like this will have you feeling hopeless and defeated. It is honestly disappointing. It will be so nice to switch from this facility to seeing a NP that actually cares about my child.
I had a Hydration facial and it was wonderful! Abi is so knowledgeable and professional and I would recommend her to anyone.
Stay away from this unprofessional medical practise if you dont wanna wake,up with thousand bills!!
The aesthetician and facial were wonderful! Highly recommend Abi to everyone. Polite, knowledgeable and helpful. A relaxing, pleasant facial!
Dr. Patel is great but there seems to be a very high turnover of nurse practitioners and PAs. It's frustrating to have someone who is clearly straight out of school just going down a standard check list of questions offering any and every test available. I am self pay and had paid for my physical while checking in. No problem. After deciding to do an EKG and while I'm sitting in a paper gown waiting, the assistant comes in and explains this is an additional charge. No problem, I say and then she waits. Oh, you want me to pay now while I'm sitting here in my paper gown?! She apologizes and explains it's their policy. I give her my card and she walks out then comes back in asking if I'm having labs done as well. Yep, another charge I need you to pay in advance . Just tacky and so unprofessional. I've been coming here for years and have zero balance on my account and you can't wait until I'm finished and dressed to settle up with the remainder of payment.
Really appreciate the care that I am receiving. All of the staff are very professional in their care. I was given easy to follow instructions to care for the site at home. I am thankful that Dr. Patel wants to take another look in November. I definitely need to keep watch on any questionable spots as I have a family history of cancers.
I was very pleased with my visit and with my new primary doctor. The wait times were great, I was in and out in less than a hour and that is counting filling out new patient paperwork etc. Dr. Patel went over my medical history based on my records and I could tell he was taking time to get a full understanding of the care I need.
The team at the Troutman, NC Piedmont HealthCare office do a great job of staying organized, getting you in and out quickly, and showing care and concern for your well-being and any medical concerns you have. I always have a pleasurable experience there. Great job and keep it up!!
I had a spot on my chest. It looked very suspicious looking. Dr Patel had removed some from my husband and he did very well. My experience was very good. The removal was quick and the stitches didn't hurt. I am having to go back but I am not worried. I will be in good hands above and below heaven .
The recent appt with Dr. Patel was good. My son was due for his annual checkup and needed to refill meds. But, he was turning 26 soon, and would be taken off my husband’s insurance. We only had a couple of weeks left. Dr. Patel went above and beyond during my son’s appt. Unfortunately, this would not have happened if my son had seen one of the PA’s in the office. They often don’t listen well, and don’t seem to want to write prescriptions, even for meds being taken year after year. I’ve also found over the years, that they want you to return to see them more often than necessary. I had a hard time with a PA that I seen during my previous appt, and she didn’t even bother to have me checked further for symptoms that were associated with gallbladder issues. I’d been vomiting off and on for nearly 2 months, when I came in. I couldn’t keep food, and especially, my meds down. She only wanted to write a script for over the counter Prilosec. I’ve taken this before for stomach issues when it was only available by prescription, and I told her that it caused bloating in my stomach. She still insisted that I take it, and she did nothing else. My pain management doctor was the one who sent me for an ultrasound of my abdomen, where they found my gallbladder to be packed full of stones. I was very quickly referred to another doctor within PHC, and in the hospital a few days later, to have my gallbladder removed. If I had seen Dr. Patel, he probably would have done what my pain management doctor had done. The PA’s just don’t seem to listen at all. This has often been the case for my whole family, when seeing PA’s in Dr. Patel’s office. I’ve started to not want to make appts with them. I dread when Dr. Patel decides to retire. He’s a pretty good doctor. Edit:Unfortunately, they did so much extra lab work and X-rays during this one visit, that the insurance would not pay for a large portion of this visit. The doctor mentioned they could only do a certain amount during one visit because the insurance wouldn’t cover it. So, I’m not sure why they did more than insurance covered, knowing it wouldn’t be covered. They knew my son is disabled and cannot work and is now left with a huge bill of $700. I wished they’d told us they were planning on doing things that wouldn’t be covered, and gave us a choice. Maybe they could’ve fit us in within the next 2 weeks before the insurance was stopped, so they could do the X-rays and extra lab work. They should’ve just done the annual and whatever else the insurance would cover, refill his meds, and let us make the decision on whether to do the rest. I still like Dr. Patel. But, knowingly leaving us with such a huge bill that cannot be paid has left me pretty upset.
