Maria Head FNP really is so amazing. She’s been so patient and thorough with our 5 month old. Today we were there for a while because our daughter had a high fever and she tested for everything and made sure all the bases were covered to figure out the cause. And she did!! She’s even having staff call tomorrow to check in. She responded to all my messages on the portal every single time. As a mom with health anxiety…I couldn’t be happier.
This is our second pediatrician office seeing as Dr. Smith greatest pediatrician ever retired. I'm pretty sure I know my child and I've had battles with his eczema before. I know what he needs to treat it. Thanks dr Smith. But the doctor I see there Maria Head seems to think she knows more about my child than I do and just refuses to listen to me. Her nurses are the same way. I like her as a person but I'm not sure I'm happy with her being my children's doctor. I want a doctor who will listen to you and not argue with you. Especially since I know my child better. It's not just the eczema. She prescribed a yeast cream when my younger baby just had severe diaper rash and I said to the nurse that it won't help. Sure enough I was 100% correct. The urgent care doctor told me about Calmoseptine ointment and it worked wonders. Shame on the doctors for not suggesting this ointment for severe diaper rash caused by constant baby diarrhea. I'm not sure if all the doctors in that building are like that, but I'm thinking I'll be finding another doctor or a new facility all together. As a parent I feel I'm being rushed through visits and not listened to. **update** Called to get a same day appointment for my sick kids. I was told there was absolutely no open appointments available. I asked "you mean in a building with around 13 doctors not a one can see my kids?" "Well you can take them to Urgent Care". Yea I can. Why do i need a pediatrician if i can just take them to Urgent Care? That just doesn't seem right. I will be finding a new pediatrician. I'm done.**
Seen by Marie heads today cause my child original doctor wasn’t there she seems like she got attitude and don’t really want to listen to what you got to say about your own child and telling you she might have hand foot and mouth when me and my sister had that before so I know she don’t have that I was better off just going to urgent care
The absolute best Pediatric with amazing and super friendly staff all around. The front desk ladies are always so kind and helpful, Maria head is the best nurse and Alisha is so helpful and always so very kind. They always are quick to respond and super helpful and caring. My kids love coming here, it’s such a welcoming and comforting environment! Thank you, you all are truly amazing and are so wonderful and hardworking.
Dr. Schopps is always amazing! She takes her time with my daughter and is very detailed in everything! If you have a question, she knows her stuff! She’s truly awesome! Her nurse also remembers my daughter even if it has been almost a year since she’s seen her! They are very involved! Highly recommend!
We have been visiting this office for over 7yrs now and I like that they have several different pediatricians on staff. If you don’t mesh well with one, you can switch to a different one until you find someone you and your child are both comfortable with. Our main provider is Dr Rashley and we love her to bits. She’s very sweet and caring and has always done so well with my kids. They have a large waiting area that splits into two sides—left for sick kids, right for well kids. Their staff have always been professional and have taken good care of us. We even have a few favorite staff members we may give a friendly hey how are ya to since all of the ladies are simply wonderful. I have always liked that when we need a quick sick visit, we can usually be seen same day even if our usual pediatrician is booked due to them having multiple doctors and nurse practitioners on staff.
I never have a problem getting into see a provider regardless my daughters health issue. The providers are super awesome and knowledgeable. They make sure they ask her questions as she is the one experiencing her symptoms. I chime in when I feel like she needs my help and they speak with her in a way that is understandable for her age. Gail Robert's and Dr. Schopps are our main go to providers, but we have seen others.
I couldn't be happier with Piedmont Health Care. The doctors are so caring. They even call home to check on the kids. I feel like we aren't just any patient, we get treated like family. I honestly can't say enough good things about them . The doctors really listen to my concerns. I love having such caring, loving doctors for my children.
Dr. Schopps is the best! She is experienced and is always caring about what's going on with my daughter. Awesome and friendly staff as well! When I call or send message to them for a question, they always get back to me timely. Keep up the good work!!
Dr. Schopps makes me feel like I'm at home when I visit her. She is very concerned and caring about the well being of her patients. I would highly recommend her. She is a wonderful doctor and has taken care of me since I was born 13 years ago. I trust her and I know she is looking out for me.
