Just a first impression: having one big room laid out with tables beside a huge sunny glass window is all you need in life. Very comforting, social, cultural, like a common plaza. Also the perfect rest from shopping. Feels much better than the smaller cooped up sunset 'n richmond libraries. Blissful.
Redid a assignment done in psychology class this spring 2023 The afternoon turned to a show performance
One floor library on a flat space. Easily accessible for people with disabilities and underlying health conditions.
It was actually a pleasant experience. I am glad the library which I grew up going to can AGAIN be enjoyed by my children. The library smelled like books and the smell of sanitizer. We stopped going to the library in early 2019 because it became a homeless men & women day shelter. The kicker was the awful smell the library had when it was like that. My daughters were disgusted and didn't want to ever go back. NOW if it continues to be clean and pleasant we plan to go to our library a lot! I am glad the library is a library again!
EASILY the worst branch I've visited in the Bay Area thus far. Horrible service, horrible selection, horrible experience. Do yourself a favor... don't bother. Apparently the only thing that can make this place enticing is a strong dose of nostalgia, and I like the vast majority of you didn't grow up here.
This is my local library where I check-in and check-out the US and the foreign language dvds every day. The place and it's atmosphere are very nice and friendly. All the Liberian staffs are very polite and knowledgeable with willing to provide helps if you need to. Every one should come to this brand to enjoy it's nice atmosphere and reading books or magazines on the week days and the weekends whenever you have time .
I have been coming here for sometime to study and this place is getting worse. Dirty tables and ants problem.
This library is my nearest library and I most of the time I go to this library. I take the bus 14 mission there, When I come back I take the 14x or 14. The 14 to lowell st sucks. I always take the 14 to daly city is better. I have to transfer to another bus of I took the one the Lowell St
This is a functional library that does a good job with requests. But other than that, it's pretty much one big room. I wish the library would do more to engage students from nearby high schools.
I love libraries period. I am happy that I can order my books online and pick them up at the Excelsior library.
