The Lodge is our local bar and grill in Colony Place. The atmosphere is classic sports bar with an area inside for live music on select nights. The bar can feel cramped because it’s always packed and the bartenders are cool and make stiff drinks. Golden Tee is in the entry way if you need to do some gaming. The food and service are fine. On most visits you’ll end up with multiple runners and servers taking orders, bringing food and closing out a tab. It’s controlled chaos but it works. We’ve tried most of the menu. The burgers and sandwiches are our favorite things to order. The wing options are plenty and come in various amounts. A sneaky good app are the shrimp baskets with cocktail sauce. It’s on our regular rotation. They do offer nightly specials. Meatloaf Monday is our favorite and if they have a Fried Bologna sandwich grab it. Parking isn’t bad in Colony but it can be hard to find a spot near The Lodge due to other restaurants in the immediate vicinity. If it’s packed park down by Walgreens. It’s only a quick walk away. Overall, it’s a great family-friendly atmosphere to watch a game. Food is good enough and staff is super friendly. There’s plenty of outside seating if the inside is packed. Expect a wait on weekends at peak times. It’s our best local spot for a beer and burger. Enjoy.
This place is nice, but very short staffed. We entered but no one bothered to greet. My wife was not sure if we should eat here. Beer selection is very good. But food is typical fast food with choice of a sandwich, wrap or a salad. Our fries were cold, the chicken in the sandwich was cold too. Price is not bad in the current situation.
This is a really great locals spot that has been around for several years near my parents’ place. We always come here, staff are great. Menu is pretty extensive - pub food, solid quality and reasonable prices. Food and refills come out quickly. Bar becomes busy on weekends and sometimes there is live music. Burgers/ sandwiches are great as are the wings and ribs on the rib special night especially.
We did not have a good experience the last few times we visited. The service is not very good. We never got a single refill or the two extra dressings we ordered even asking two different servers for help when ours wasn't to be seen, and yet we were charged for them. I ordered a burger medium and it came out over well done and basically burnt. My daughter's club sandwich bread was also burned.. My wife ordered the homemade chips and they came out mostly broken pieces and almost too hard to eat. It just wasn't a pleasant experience. It's frustrating to go out and not get good service or good food and still have to pay upwards of $50 for a less than mediocre meal.
It was super loud with the combination of kitchen noise, really loud music and packed crowd, they didn't want to sit us outside for whatever reason, so because of that I would not have enjoyed my experience if it wasn't for good company and really good food. The server kept trying to upsell things and just treated me as if I wanted to purchase a $38 bottle of wine, kept tells me it's half off and I could get 2 glasses out of it. Basically telling one person to buy 2 glasses of wine. A petite person who had to drive home and doesn't drink a lot. Super annoyed and surprised. My friend said that the last time they were there. He did the same thing to them, just acted as he he knew what they were ordering and clarifying to make sure that's what they want. Doesn't listen and doesn't ask questions regarding what we actually want or need when we first ordered. Never brought out waters for us 4. I got one late. It was a bit disgusting 5o drink out of a plastic cup without a straw, not knowing where that cup has been sitting. Or where they touched it. His mask was only on his mouth the second half of the night. So, definitely only going back during non busy hours and asking for outside seating. I specifically asked for s cheep wine and he showed me the expensive cups and tried his best to sell me a bottle. Not sure what's going on and if the server needs more training or is just not a decent person but is just there focused on his tips.
I was surprised that the reviews are good. This place is horrible!! The food was nasty, the service was touch and go, and the staff were loud in the kitchen. Loud enough that the waiter went to the kitchen to yell at the staff for being loud and the guest could hear them. They were out of spinach, mushrooms, and our drinks were bad. My friend and I ordered the same drink and they weren’t even the same color or taste! The tots tasted like grease, no seasoning on the food, my bread was burnt on my sandwich, and the list goes on. I would not recommend this place to anyone
Bartender likes to tell people that seating in the back is full And it's not usually. He wants people to sit in the bar where he services. And get the tips With very little care to his customers
Everytime I visit, great experience. Great food and service!Food: 5/5
Title: "A Fowl Experience: Winged Disappointment" Review: I visited The Lodge this evening about an hour ago. According the internet, it's a restaurant that claimed to serve culinary delights, but alas, it left me with a tasteless tale to tell. My encounter with their unseasoned food and gargantuan chicken wings was truly remarkable, in all the wrong ways. Let's start with the seasoning, or should I say lack thereof. The dishes presented to me seemed to have an aversion to anything remotely flavorful. It felt like an experiment in blandness, as if the chef had accidentally misplaced their spice rack and decided to carry on regardless. The tasteless abyss that was my plate left me pondering the mysteries of life: "Where did the flavor go?" Now, let's dive into the enigma of their chicken wings. Picture this: wings so enormous that they could double as a small aircraft. Forget about a delicate, finger-licking experience. These colossal wings required Herculean strength just to hold and navigate around the plate. Eating them felt more like attempting to conquer a mountain of poultry than enjoying a satisfying meal. If you're looking for a meal that doubles as a workout, this is the place for you. In summary, if you're seeking a restaurant that excels in the art of blandness and challenges your bicep strength, while tossing the entire meal in the trash, look no further. But if you appreciate the wonders of seasoning and prefer wings that don't resemble mythical creatures, I suggest you flap your wings in the opposite direction and search for greener pastures. Bon appétit--elsewhere!
We got takeout and the food was ready on time as well as reasonably priced. We enjoyed everything we tried and thought the portions were large. We plan to eat from The Lodge again soon!
