Model railroads in both HO and N scale depicting the Niles Canyon and Tri-City area, built in the restored Southern Pacific passenger and freight depots.
The Tri-City Society of Model Engineers builds, maintains, operates and shows two model railroad layouts depicting the Niles Canyon and nearby communities. Located in the Niles district of Fremont, CA, the HO layout is being built in the old Southern Pacific freight depot, while construction of the N scale layout is happening in the historic Niles passenger depot next door.
1. To promote the greater fellowship of model engineers.
2. To provide the facilities for the more convenient participation of
railroad modelers in group activities of the organization.
3. To promote and advance the hobby of model railroading wherever
and whenever possible and to do all things incident to the purpose.
4. To restore, preserve, and maintain the historical building known
as the Southern Pacific Railroad Passenger Station located at Niles California.
