Excellent Break! We recently stayed at Kam'Bati for a family getaway for my son's 21st birthday. The venue was perfect, and we enjoyed every moment of our visit. If you are not with family and enjoy some peace and tranquility request tent 6, 7 or 8, which is slightly separate from the activity area. Next on my list will be cabin 3. Warmest regards, Theresa
Amazing experience… I would suggest making it clear on the website that you need a 4x4 to get into the swellendam camps. We got a bit of shock but my husband is a pretty good driver and managed : Everything was fantastic, this camp is great for families!

Our past experience of Africamps has generally been very good. Unfortunately this one-nighter wasn't. Although we were told there was going to be no electricity on the day we were due to arrive, we were told it would be back on by 6:30pm. It didn't come on until 10pm. There was no communication at all. We were literally left in the dark, with no backup lights or candles and no means of communication because there was no WiFi or cell-phone signal either. This was why I rated the service poorly. It also meant that we couldn't request a tent change when families arrived either side of us with screaming babies. The reception closes after 5pm and with no WiFi or cell phone signal, we couldn't do anything about it. Also, there was no sign to say whether the brown water was drinkable or not. So it was a very disappointing trip for our 20th wedding anniversary.
Perfect spot for camping with a young family. Beautiful views and landscaping, very comfortable accommodation and a lovely pool, playground and relaxation area set-up. Very friendly welcome.Rooms: 5/5
Great spot to sit back and recharge. Staff are very friendly and helpful, thought the cat drove me nuts and woke up a couple of time in my tent to find her on top of me. But the guys at the reception managed to lock it out since I am allergic to cats which made the trip spot on and well worth itRooms: 5/5

Wonderful first experience of Africamps. Everthing was just perfect, tents were clean and well equipped, with enough to keep you warm even on the coldest winter day. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was perfect. Thank you Africamps Kambati, especially to Alex and Tania who went out of their way for us and made the experience amazing.
A beautiful place to relax. Unfortunately there were some heavy rains in the area recently that caused some damage to the camp site, Africamps wasn't affected. We were welcomed by Lionel who was friendly, helpful and always checked if we were ok or needed anything. The hot tub was ready when we arrived. Firewood was delivered to us. There's a little shop with the basics. The camp has everything you require. We were very warm inside with the fireplace and electric blankets. Spacious rooms and bathroom. The deck is large with ample seating and a built in braai.
There are so many reasons to go to AfriCamps! 1. The hot tub! 2. The view. 3. There is something for everyone, perfect for couples and families. 4. The staff - they go the extra mile. Shoutout to Alton We had a great time kayaking on the river and watching the sunset.
