If I could give them a minus rating, I would. Advertised a car hire online for R6 500. We ended up paying almost R17 000 for the rental. Disputing the transaction doesn't help because they simply ignore your emails and queries - even the Avis Head Office. Pathetic would be a compliment in their eyes.
The guy who assisted us was great. When a client walks into your branch, it might be good to remember that one needs to be friendly and at least greet the client when they greet you. I noticed that everyone was oblivious to that and even looked like we were intruding. Your reception should be friendly and welcoming. The car we received was also so unsafe for the road. Ensuring that your fleet of vehicles is checked for that is important.
I called to ensure if I return the vehicle earlier than the booking that a refund will be processed and was ensured that I don't have to change the booking days online. Upon return of the vehicle I was told there's a policy for no refund for earlier return. Why tell the customer otherwise when enquired and then refuse to refund. I would have made alternative plans to not waste Precious money that I don't have.
Great service and hand over of a Fortuner from Mr. Siyanda. The entire process is electronic and no need to sign or touch anything with a pen. COVID protocols are in progress and we'll managed. Good job team Avis!
Don't rent your car here! Keeps deducting money from my creditcard for false rentals!! Busy for 3 months to get it back,. Every month new deductions. Not even a sorry or nothing.
They said the car is "pre-inspected" then rushed me through the inspection process. When I returned the car they found some scratches on a plastic panel inside the boot see the attached picture. Those scratches were there when I collected the car. How can a small soft suitcase and a laptop bag cause such scratches. Dishonest people, stay away from their branch or risk being treated like dirt.
Siyanda was a friendly assistant I had. Him and I spoke a long time so really enjoyed interaction with him.
Worst experience ever never met such incompetent people. They rushed giving me a car full of scratches and a small dent on the rear right side door which had 33kms driven. No pictures were taken of the vehicle they just said they will note all scratched and include in the report. When I returned the vehicle they told me I caused the windscreen small dent and door. When I reminded them that the car was full of scratches and dirt which the lady saw, the Trainee lady told me the car was new there’s no way it would have such scratches. I asked for the inspection report and pictures of the vehicle when the it was delivered to their branch just to prove their theory, they couldn’t provide it. I asked them why the rushed when giving me the car and never took pictures? They couldn’t answer me. Now they rushing me to pay damages but they can’t even provide me with information to substantiate their claims. The Supervisor wrote to me saying they assume the damage was done by me. Such incompetence people , such dishonest bunch of people
Always the best services ever. Quick, Easy, Clean Cars.... No Hassle. The staff there is friendly, efficient. I had to change cars because the one I had had the scent of cigarettes people who disobey the rules notwithstanding that they had no cars on site, within less than an hour they had upgraded my vehicle at no extra charge. I love their work ethic.
Was at the Centurion branch with my son and the staff was excellent and very professional.
