Good vehicle, average service, affordable and fair billing.  Would recommend Tempest/Europcar when hiring in Centurion

Expensive to rent a car from them, and they did not accept my father in law's international driver's license. Staff were very friendly but there check out system took very long. Not advises for international travellers sorry to say. I personally received much better customer experience from Thrifty.

II rented a car for a pickup and drop off at George Airport from 1 to 6 November 2018. The rental amount i was quoted was R939.00 and the deposit was R3879. 50. When i went to pick up the vehicle my account was debited with R7996. 25. The agent assisting me was out of depth to explain what happened and later explained she works for EuropCar thus not familiar with Tempest System. The Tempest agent called to assist was dodgy and shady, trying to explain something that was nonsensical, until he admitted that its system error and promised to ensure the money is reserved by the time I return the vehicle on the 6th. I returned the vehicle yesterday, on the 6th and no money had been reimbursed, the agent was nowhere to be found instead there was another europcar agent who from the get go told me he is in no position to assist. From appalling service to lack of service Tempest is the worst car rental company i had the dishonour and displeasure of dealing with.

Worst car hire ever at KZN airport. Worst customer service. Not even worth to hire a car from Tempest

I have been waiting for almost 2 weeks and still have not received my deposit back, they just keep on saying its an IT glitch on their side.

The staff was out and didn't return while I was waiting. Mayme best to make an appointment
