I loved looking at the history and the ship itself. You are allowed to get on the ship and go below deck which is really cool. Sadly there was two small boys running around and jumping on the beds which is specifically asked not to do. This is not only bothersome but could lead to some damage. Some rules might be needed for supervision. I would definitely recommend, it is quite informative!
Very nice and informative museum and gallery. The replica ship looked good and you can get on board and imagine how the sailors travelled all the way there. Recommended.
What an unexpected experience. Absolutely loved it! Nothing what is expected when you see the little yellow building. So many twists and turns. Something for everyone to enjoy!Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
This is one of my favourite museums to visit. Nice to see that theŕe is some changes happening. The 'skulpie' museum moved to this location as well. It is affordable fun for the whole family.
Learning about the history of Mossel-bay was a nice experience . Great pleasure seeing the ship in real life and the shell museum was quite amazing .
What an insightful and affordable experience! Aim to spend at least 2 hours on the grounds as there are lots of history to explore and wear comfortable shoes if you're planning on walking to each mark.
Nice museum full of history during the period of Diaz, R20 entrance fee and R20 to go onto to boat. Worth seeing while in MosselBay
It was awesome to see a replica boat that was sailed by Bartholomeu Dias from Portugal to South Africa. His journey took him 6 months to reach the Cape coastline where he experienced heavy winds and strong sea conditions.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
It's OK and the replica ship was awesome, but beyond that not much to do unless you are a hard core historian with lots of time to read.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
It feels like you're travelling back in time when putting your feet on this historic vessel. A must-see when visiting Mosselbay.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNot sure
