BLeaf Salads

We had a 30 minute break during an event we attended. 40 minutes later we were still waiting for our food. We ordered 2x steak and Cheese subs on a toasted bun and a large chips. What a waste of time and money. Noticeable every other food stall was really full. We noticed that SubZ was empty though we should have known‍, so we thought it would be a great option as we could make it back inside in time for the next fight. Firstly, there was nobody behind the till. So after calling "Hello" for a minute or so, a youngster casually came out from the kitchen and said "Your food is on its way". I told him we had not ordered yet. He then reluctantly asked us if he could take our order, with as much enthusiasm as a door knob. But we were polite and waited. We drank a 500ml sprite at R21.00 each. And waited and waited. 37 minutes later we were presented with our food, but now from a young women working behind the counter. I asked for a packet as we were now late, and she said they were out of stock ‍. As we were about to rush off, I thought I better check the chips as we asked for honey and mustard sauce. If a handful of old chips for R38.00 is what you get for your money then I don't know how this place keeps its doors open. Guess what? No sauce ‍. 5 minutes later we were off we a handful of chips and a large amount of sauce. And our meals. To my not so surprised expression, considering what we had just experienced, opening the meal once we were seated. I was irritated to see a un-toasted bun by a long shot, filled with mostly lettuce, cucumber, a piece of tomato, a couple of pieces of weirdly cut "steak" chunks and packed with a beef sauce. . For the price it was absolutely crazy. I took one bite which was more than enough for me to throw it away and my son felt the same way. Just gross! On the way out we stopped at Nandos and got some decent food. Will never return no matter how full the food places are. I will rather wait. This place doesn't deserve a 1 star and ripping people off.

I had a steak and egg sub there tonight. The freshest, softest roll I have had in a while, all fresh ingredients. Great taste and such friendly staff. Real value for money and all round great service, taste and quality. I will definitely be going back for more.

We've waited an hour for our food! This is ridiculous. Only two staff in the kitchen with hundreds of people at Grand West! What were they thinking.

Went there for the first time today and was highly dissapointed! Paid R60 for a hot dog bun with a hell a lot of lettuce and 3 tiny strips of chicken. Not a sub...not even toasted...over priced leaf bun!

Looking at some of the reviews here I'm not surprised. Made a first time purchase on 08/09/2019 and waited a total of 15 minutes to receive my Hake Sub after ordering Calamari. I order, pay, make the bun, then get told they have no calamari. So I sub-stitute for Hake and wait. After 3 minutes I ask and they check with the kitchen, another 4 minutes go by and I walk to the donut hive and the cashier looks shocked to see I'm still waiting for my sub. She checks and after another couple minutes I receive my disappointing sub. The price I paid for that sub I could've received a hake parcel and chips from a fishery. Not buying and would not recommend!

Order was placed for 16:00 with birthday party for 16x 9year old girls. It is now 16:33 and 5min ago it was: “ready in 2 minutes”…

Customer service not fantastic at all. Ordered toasted chicken on brown bread and was asked 3 times by two different people what bread I wanted. There is no ordering system as it is two shops and you don't realise this until you are not served for several minutes. Food was average nothing fantastic. I would not recommend this place.

I just orderd there for the first time today. I ate a crumbed chicken rap & it was amazing. Service was not to bad at all. I would highly recommend SubZ

Hi, I would just like to complain about dougnut hive & subz in grandwest as we order steak and cheese sandwiches on the 31/12/2017 09:44 the morning and there was no cheese on the sandwiches and we went back to them to complain and they just looked at us.. Please get back to me as I was not very saterfied with the produt that they gave me.. Kind Regard Melody-Ann
