Blue Haze was a cozy stay. Unfortunately we arrived in winter and it was extremely cold for most of the days, however they were able to provide us with the equipment needed with the cold. The service was exceptional. Any problem reported, usually minor, was dealt with immediately and treated with sense of urgency. The food was also great, I especially enjoyed their ribs and quarter chicken. All round great place to stay, I'll go back in summer just to take full advantage of the activities available.
The lodge has spectacular view. Unfortunately the rooms had faults, it was a bath tub only which wasn't an issue but the drain plug does not hold and it was cold water. When checking out I brought through the keys and the receptionist made me drive back to my room just to bring her TV remotes to the reception, which easily could be done by staff, I highly doubt anyone wants to steal their faulty TV remotes
A quaint place with a beautiful view, well kept rooms. However, some of the rooms harboured some 8 legged creatures. The staff are friendly and helpful, the general upkeep of the place lacks though, as the bushes and grass is overgrown, and there are spiderwebs EVERYWHERE. The one thing that was REALLY bad was the food. They managed to completely ruin a simple thing such as chips. Lack basic ingredients like mushrooms, and the cereals at breakfast are stale. Food served at the confrence was very unsavoury. Salad was fresh and the veg was good. Steak was ok. Limited drinks in the bar.
Is located at the bottom of the mountains, facing a lake that give one a beautiful view such that when you walk across the reception you'll think you have crossed into another area far from Escort!! Food & drinks: The food was very nice, soft and tasty t-bone with green salad was good. The desert, velvet chocolate cake that one can have everyday.
The rooms are disgusting. The walls are dirty, toilet and shower filthy. The pillows are so dirty I had to put my towel to sleep. I will not recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemy.Rooms: 1/5
Location is great easy access from the hightlway. Unfortunately the service was very poor. The staff was rude. The rooms are not well kept, there are insects everywhere and spider webs. There is an unpleasant strong ouder in the room. Unfortunately there is also no refund should you wish to leave.Rooms: 1/5
A very quiet comfy retreat. Just off the highway but you'd never know its there. The views are spectacular and the atmosphere is crisp and serene. Rooms are cosy and self catering is well equipped.Rooms: 4/5
Beautiful location, stunning views. Perfect for anyone that loves nature. Rooms are fairly basic however quite neat and tidy. Meals aren't glamorous and breakfast definitely needs improvement. Overall, a stunning location with beautiful views. Will definitely be visiting again.
The gas geysers did not have electricity for the pilot light while the rest of the room had power. I had an Ice cold shower. Not a train smash, but that was the only thing I can fault. Sorry no 5 star rating.Rooms: 3/5
We booked in advance for Dinner to celebrate my dads 65th birthday. We ordered ahead so that we didnt have to wait long when we arrived. However, we did have 2 wait an hour for food to arrive even though we did say we wud arrive at 18:00. We were there by 17:55. We also had to get the attention of the waitress in order for our drinks order to be taken. No one attended to us until we called out to them. The waitress was friendly but the service was slow. The food was well prepared. The seating area was clean and neat and well set.
