Busamed Gateway Private Hospital

I presented with stroke symptoms while at work - dizziness, blurred vision, followed by numbness in my left arm. I proceeded straight to this hospitals emergency department where I was made to wait for over an hour to be seen my a doctor. The head of the emergency department then showed up to tell me that they in fact could not attend to me at all since none of their neurologists were prepared to be on call today. I, a potential stroke victim with a history of heart complications, was discharged without ever being admitted! Absolutely shocking, how is it even possible to have an open emergency department WITHOUT specialists to attend to said emergencies.

Busamed is the most professional hospital in the country imo. It was our second time dealing with the hospital and I am amazed at the staff's professionalism, friendliness and efficiency. In a country where most things are broken, service is non-existent and staff have no clue how to do their jobs, Busamed is a breath of fresh air. I don't know how they are doing it but they are doing something right!

I would like to thank all the staff and personnel of ward 4B, the theatre staff and management, and the reception staff for your dedication, eagerness to make my stay there as comfortable as it was. You work under tremendous pressure which is not always appreciated, yet you're great. Always friendly concerning and helpful.

Poor service, waiting over an hour in casuality. There is certainly a capacity issue. Does not seem to be any better as we are still waiting in casuality to be taken to the ward. Been here since 10am and there is no sense of urgency or service excellence to any extent.

Today we drove from Kloof to Gateway to visit a friend who was hospitalised at Busamed Gateway pvt hospital. We enquired at the reception , the 2 Clarks checked their computers , made phone calls etc, at the end , they told us the patient was discharged yesterday , while our friend was still in the hospital!! Really a super poor service , lack of interest , lack of control , they don’t even know which patients are in the hospital. I was expecting a better service!

In 2016 I first visited the hospital was there for over a month Then again through er both very hands on and fast. Recently I had came back after a very long time and I only see improvements. It's a serene environment. Patients are free and don't have to be afraid to ask or open up to any of the nursing staff. Great job keep it up. The nights were hard crying in sleep after a terrible 1 night experience at another hospital but gateway busamed Staff even held my hand and made sure I was at peace and safe no matter what. Appreciate the great services and professionalism from the medical team that treated me. Keep up the great services

No comment, just disappointed. The beauty of the hospital, the cleanliness, the friendly staff with beautiful warm smiles just gets over shadows by smaller finest details

The night of 1st May, into the morning of 2nd May 2023. I was misdagnosed and rudley treated by the Casually Dr on duty. I had to go to Umhlanga Hospita Caualty to be treated correctly!

Beautiful and neat hospital with exceptional views. The hospital has a very relaxing and healing atmosphere.

Hi my mum was recently admitted into Ward A and I must say the treatment was superb .I needed information and the very efficient and hands on Unit Manager Michael went over and above to assist me . Also thanks to Dr Primod Reddy who is an exceptional human being and treating mum throughout covid period not to mention his assistant Kas . The only negative I do have is that when a patient is admitted and has scans and xrays done ...had to wait for 2 days until I asked for the outcome . Perhaps the turnaround time here should be hastened . Keep up the good work Gateway !!!!
