Capello Vanderbijlpark River

The place is great and food tastes great. I only wish it had toilets inside though but overall it was great. I would recommend trying their tramezzini. I would rate this place 8/10

Food took too long to be cooked,over an hour to be precise. The food was dry and not tasty at all. The drinks were enjoyable though. The waiter was great under the circumstances.

What a terrible experience!!! Went for breakfast at 10.30 on a Sunday over the longweekend. They were cleaning and told us to come back in 30min. We returned to be told they not ready. We must come at 12. I told that thus is unacceptable as the website said they were open from 9. I was told to go to one of the other restaurants on site. Can you believe that! We did go to another restaurant and had a great experience with great food! Poor management at a top venue. Sort it out!

The food is amazing and service very quick.

It's an interestingly decorated place. The fadora platter is wonderful. The service has gone down though. I would advise that you keep your orders simple and don't depend on the waiters. Order the ciders or beers you expect to have for the day at once as they'll coming in an ice bucket, keep your food choice to the menu avoid excluding or including items and ensure that you're up for the turn up after 9 on weekends.

Do not!!! I repeat, DO NOT!!! DON'T waste your time and money at this place. After waiting 2 hours for our food our seafood platter arrives with calamari that was off and burnt rice. Kids couldn't even eat the pizza that was order because it was just disgusting. It tasted like oven bake pizza you buy at Pick n Pay. A glass fell on the floor and wasn't cleaned for the whole time we sat there right up until we left. After all of that horrible food and service we were forced to pay a 10% tip food trash. You are better off getting Mc Donald's or KFC

Don't waste your time. Food took 2 hours, waiter had an attitude, then when the food finally came it was old and dry. Music was so loud you could not have a conversation. A glass broke and no one came to clean it up, just left there in the middle of the floor. This place is like a dirty tavern.

sadly ... reviewing this place does NOT change matters... clearly the owners are passionate about .. well not much... LOUD MUSIC... entertaining a community driven by alcohol... ... one can simply NOT digest food in this GASTLY atmosphere... Emerald Casino should revise their tenants...

Do yourself a favour and don't even step through the doors. The manager was rude to multiple guests. Coffee machine was broken. No on-tap beer. Ingredients missing. We waited over 1 hour and 30 mins for food to arrive cold or incorrect. The pizza was raw and had to be sent back. This place needs a revamp, re-train, and redo their thinking. Awful.

Cappello in Vanderbijlpark are located inside Emerald Casino Resort. If you do not know the area it is a bit tricky to find it. You have to enter the security gates at Emerald Casino Resort, find parking in front of the entrance to the entertainment area. As you walk in you will see the huge entrance of Cappello restaurant on your left hand. The entrance is impressive, hygiene is good, the person that welcomed us were very friendly and helpful. I could not see a bathroom and the waiter also did not mention where the bathroom is. Cappello in Vanderbijlpark have a Jaz atmosphere a high roof with beautiful lights. There are four different areas to sit, outside with a overview of the entertainment area, inside next to the beautiful bar, the lounge area that could be great for a group of people and also a smaller and darker area. The food was delicious and up to standard but the drinks and cocktails were better. They ran out of chips, but made up for it buy replacing the chips with creamy spinach that was delicious. The waiters and staff was friendly and helpful. Cappello open at 10:00 so next time I will go for a branch.
