This is one of my favorite restaurants in Pretoria. The have the best Poke Bowl I have ever eaten and the service is wonderfully friendly. Their lattes are also amazing!  Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible.

Stopped off for a post run coffee and catch up with a large group. The staff were working fast on their feet to bring out coffee orders timeously. Waitresses were friendly and helpful and brought out water for all the tables after our run. Although very busy the service was great and the hot chocolate with almond milk was delicious. Looking forward to visiting again to try the food - looks delicious.

Visited Fat Barista during our stay in Menlyn. What a let down for a beautiful Café. The service was absolutely slow. We'd asked to joined tables as they are pretty small and there were 4 of us, and we were basically left unattended after what seemed like a plan to join tables for us. The menu isn't grand and I can excuse that for the small cafe, but the prep time is beyond unprofessional. We ordered milkshakes while we waited and they were served in take away plastic containers, mason jars could've done the trick. The portion  burgers were kiddies size. Absolutely nothing to write home about except take pictures of the beautiful interior and pretend all was well.

Trying to make sense of my experience. 1stly, I frequent F Barista on a fairly regular basis have never during load shedding. Today  had a business meeting there and when load shedding started we had already ordered. However, it was as if the staff were load shed too. They were sitting around on their phones although we were still there as well as three other tables I had two waive twice to get attention and when she eventually responded we requested Cortados on which the response was that they cannot serve during load shed periods. Now, that did not make sense as a business making coffee and serving light food should by now have made alternative plans or inform patrons that they cant serve before they even take a seat. The next comment was the one that got me... she said that they are not paid when there is load shedding, hence they are on their phones. Management/owner, I suggest you fix this issue as it is causing major damage to your lovely spot.

This is a excellent coffee shop, the coffee there is amazing, smooth, good taste and perfect temperature.  It is a small restaurant but they deliver excellent service. They burgers are great. The staff is also extremely friendly.  They seem quite busy usually but you always get a spot to sit. The vibe is also nice, very upclass.

Amazing food and vibe. Love it! Definitely try their Poke bowls.  Very different but the most sensational taste. Very nice coffee and tea options as well. And their cakes are to die for. A

Their poke bowls are really good. For being someone who can eat quite a bit, their one dish is very filling. Their coffees and special lattes are also really good. Would definitely recommend for you to come and try.

Cute little bistro type coffee shop with a great outside patio area. I was here during a rainstorm and it was still quite comfortable outside. The inside is cosy but small. I only had a coffee but it was nice. Lots of parking around and seems secure enough. Free WiFi available. Just ask for pw. I would like to return to try out their food options one day

This restaurant is honestly amazing ! I really loved their poke bowls which let me tell you something the poke bowl has amazing flavors and it’s super healthy : you get your option of beef , chicken or salmon . I don’t even feel guilty for having a dish like that. The staff are also really friendly and on both occasions has really great service : this will definitely be my new lunch place.
