I pop in at Pick n Pay which was very clean and not too busy. Purchased some pizzas at Roman's Pizza. Store was clean , friendly staff with 15 minutes wait for the order.
I'm fortunate to live very close to Glengarry, making this a perfect daily quick "stop and shop" for me. The selection of stores that are available at Glengarry Village Shopping Centre is convenient and perfect for those small daily things you need. There are a couple of stores that definitely make the Shopping Centre stand out more than others and are on a higher level than others when it comes to customer service and quality of customer care. 80% of the Stores are definitely working and striving to keep this Shopping Centre at this level of service, but one store that unfortunately forces us to just automatically lower our level of expectations completely is Pick n Pay. Questions?: Is it well stocked for a small store? YES Does it have most of the supplies I could possibly need for a quick shopping experience? YES But it doesn't always help to have the supplies! What matters is FIRSTLY - Have more than two ladies at a time helping behind the tills. SECONDLY - More people on the floor because one can almost never find anyone to assist on the floor. ONE OF THE MOST IRRITATING PROBLEMS: * The Store is small, the shopping isles are narrow, you don't get much assistance on the floor, then just when you think you couldn't possibly get more irritated and this is just because of the low budget attitudes and "attitude of "I don't want to serve you or anyone else today, just working for the paycheck." So the staff's attitude is not the only irritating thing us customers have to deal with, but they don't really have properly organized places, Isles, lines, zones.. nothing, where you have any indication where you are supposed to line up. You literally line up in the isles and keep a gap between you and shoppers passing buy. Pick n Pay has the products I need but I'd rather drive further out to Durbanville Pick n Pay for the stress free and standard of quality service I deserve.
Simply Asia manager, Archim you Rock. He did not hesitate to tell me that my order will only be ready after 35 minutes. I had the choice to take it or leave it. He delivered as predicted. I walked out of Simply Asia with my meal_ 35 minutes later. Honesty is always the best policy.
This Pick and Pay has just gone downhill the last 3 years. Maybe a Management problem. Management anyway is not visible on the floor. Stuck in office??? On many occassions 3 tills open on a weekday at 17h00???? That is when everyone is on their way home. Bakery/Deli/Cold meat section does not have enough staff to serve you most of the time. Or they switch between counters as there is too little staff. Customers get ignored while staff has conversations with each other. This store has also had significant price increases. I always supported this store, but now prefer doing shopping at Spar or Checkers. Most probably the MOST unfriendly staff. I feel sorry for the 2 or 3 employees that go the extra mile because it gets lost due to the bad experience overall. Seriously do a managememt change as you are losing customers. No use in renovating the store and customer service is non-existant.
Wide variety of shops, including the usual selection of chain stores. Crazy Daisy cake shop is worth a visit. Very good Woolworths. Some nice restaurants
A great centre to pop into. Extremely convenient and accessible. Parking is great and the centre is kept clean and tidy.
There is always parking, I love the 'open mall' feel of the shops. They have al lot of my favourite stores and take away restaurants - PnP, Woolies Food, Wellnes Warehouse, Simply Asia, McDonalds, Ocean Basket, Romans, etc. in one location.
Good place, but careful how google maps guide you to some shops there you'll end at their hindsides sometimes
Very nice shopping center.
It is a smallish shopping Centre but it has a pick n pay, crazy store and some clothing stores and restaurants. It has all your needs in 1 place. Pick n pay amazing there.
