He was very good day. We liked the popcorn and everything else. It was good me and my friends were chilling and watching , it was so fun, they look off the 3 girls.
Love the uniqueness of the space, a bit more different from what I’m used to. I think at the moment they are short staffed so you try and look for help everywhere as opposed to it being readily available. However, that didn’t bother me as I’m fully equipped when it comes to cinemas and don’t need any help. The only help was trying to figure out where to go as this was my first time here. Otherwise, I loved it and encourage people to visit even during this time. It’s really safe and you will be helping our economy recover as well as the livelihood of the staff And the staff was so so helpful and very kind
Sterkinekor cinema's usually have these uncomfortable p/leather seats that make a noise when you move ,but the tygervalley cinema had the most comfortable non p/leather seats. I loved the experience ,the sound is a bit low for a cinema, but the experience was a good one
Great cinema and seats are comfortable. Spacious seating. Lovely snacks, even hot drinks... coffee, hot chocolate etc
Self service kiosks makes the whole process of booking your ticket so much better. Going to the cinema was a last minute decision of which we got there 10min before the movie started. We got into the cinema once the trailers started which I think was awesome. Really enjoyed the movie and how efficient the staff is
Went there on 9 April 2023 and watched Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves with my nephew. They have a self-service but if you get stuck there is someone who is willing to assist you. Getting the snacks was fast as there wasn't much of a queue. Enough lighting to find our seats. 15 minutes of ads feel like forever but definitely worth it. No sound quality issues. The movie was awesome. I was happily surprised that I turned out to like it. Fyi, don't add both sachets of butter salt to your popcorn, it will make it very salty. I'll definitely make use of Ster-Kinekor services again. Also they are not impacted by loadshedding, which is a plus.
Was kinda hard to find if you don't know the mall. Ticket purchase with vouchers and membership etc was seamless and quick as well as the popcorn meals. The Scream VI movie was predictable and boring.
Im rating them with one star soley because some of their employees are truly unprofessional. They had two people working at the snacks counter one was extremely nice and polite the other was one was vokin onbeskof, she was literally leaning on the popcorn counter on her phone turning people away to her partner. Eventually she decided to help when the line started to grow. I was in her line but she was speaking aggressively to my friend and I because he scanner wasn't working, she even sighed and clikced her tongue at us. It felt like waiting in line to get into government clinic the way her attitude was. Cudos to her colleague though. Avoid this location! They'll make you miss the beginning of your movie, not worth the money spent.
So I recently went to enjoy a movie on the big screen, two actually DND Honour among thieves and John Wick 4. Both times that I was at the cinema the place was clean and well presented. The confectionery stands were well run, the process is even simpler if you had ordered your food when purchasing your tickets. I order everything when purchasing my ticket so all I do is scan the ticket and they give me my items. It is important to be at the cinema at least 30 mins before your movie starts as queues can form at the confectionery stands. The movie cinemas themselves at both times I was there were also clean and everything functioned as expected. Lastly Tygervalley now has generators in place so they will continue to run even during loadshedding.
We frequent this cinema regularly and constantly have to ask for help because there's not enough staff that can help patrons when buying snacks. We've been in a line where we were told that we can't buy additional snacks AFTER watching a movie. We stood in the line for 15 minutes for nothing. On another occasion we couldn't switch a coke out for a bottle of water which was done before. We literally have to beg for help at this cinema. CHANGE your policy on snacks because paying over R700 for this kind of experience is ridiculous. If you know Marvel movies are going to draw crowds then prepare your workers and work stations accordingly.
