The last time that I have been at this Ster Kinekor was when the first John Wick movie played there. That was years ago. I was pleasantly surprised to see that everything was still in pristine condition. Usually places like this deteriorate over time. The staff was still as friendly as ever. The waiting area in the cinema was in excellent condition. We had to wait here, as my daughter watched a different movie from the one that my husband and I watched. We didn’t mind the wait as we could relax in comfort. The toilets were spotless as well. What a lovely time we had. We went to the food court and has something to eat. There is also plenty of safe parking. All round an enjoyable evening.
Very helpful and friendly staff, always super pleasant, Would you please make the single items available on the user portal, one can only buy the combo's online when you order your tickets.
The cinema staff was impolite. I went to inform them that the lights were still on in the cinema we were in and we can't see anything on the screen. The lady I spoke to was very rude saying the lights will go off when the movie comes on even after I told them that all the lights were on in the cinema making it impossible to see anything on screen. One of the staff members eventually followed me inside and was kind enough to switch off the lights. Not to mention also that somebody either stole our Spur meal or threw or after we had supper at spur prior to our movie and was not allowed to take it inside although we purchased combo meals to take with us. They put it on top of a stand saying we must take it after the movie. When we came to fetch it, it was gone and no staff to ask. Such an expensive meal. Have a lockable place for such things. So wrong
We enjoyed our time there. The cashier California was very friendly. She politely gave us options for drink when we could not get soda. I was so impressed how she humbly apologized for the none availability of the soda because it was flat no gas.
……………………………We haven’t been to this movie house in about 15 years then it was still under another company name! But again we were in awe at the pleasant clean bright surroundings where the movies are located! The ticket office here is also manned by young vibrant staff-members who are friend-lii and very helpful! Here they only have one mega-tuck-shop where all the nicetii’s can be bought at the regular combo prices but they did have a special where you could get 2 small popcorn, drink & a bag of gums for the price of one medium combo which suited us just fine! Once you pass into the movie-house area you will find a large lounge area under the atrium where they have some settee’s where you can chill if you are too early for your show! Very impressive! There are only 7 movie-houses, which seats about 100 patrons at a time with very nice comfii seating and good leg-room! Also very well maintained as the seats are still in very good condition! We enjoyed our visit here and do recommend you visit here whenever you find the time to catch a movie, enjoy popcorn, some sweets with a cold drink and just chill……………….. PS! Must say that their Ablution Facilities are Spotless-lii clean and user-friend-lii!!........
Even though I had paid for the tickets already, we got blocked because we could not prove our childrens ages, like we're supposed to walk around with birth certificates. I am still waiting for my refund, will never set foot at any Ster Kinekor ever again.
They should make sure that their age restrictions are visible on the website. My son was very disappointed when he couldn't see the movie after we paid for it online. There was no age restriction visible on the movie on the website.
Clean, neat and nothing new as far as a movie theatre goes 3 hours in an uncomfortable chair was a new thing Could make the popcorn a bit cheaper Other than that nothing special for me
It would have been 5 stars if the toilets were large enough to close the cubicle door without standing between the toilet bowl and the wall. And if maybe more that 2 out of 8 cubicles were NOT out of service. Friendly staff. Comfortable chairs. Nice sound.
Thanks to the manager at N1, she was super helpful getting our tickets redeemed never got the mail and I'm glad we went on a random weekday when it was quiet enough. I think that level of attention and service alone makes that my new go-to branch
