The food was divine! Although everything that made the menu was expected. The waitresses made sure we are comfortable and it wasn’t as packed as I expected. The R275 per head is quite steep considering that it doesn’t include drinks. Their drinks are very expensive for a buffet restaurant. We spent over R800 and this was because of the cheapest drinksjuice and soft drinks on their menu.

We were left rather disappointed with the food. The seafood selection or lack thereof was unappetizing. The lamb chops were tough and the overly sweet marinade made them inedible. The salad bar was very limited. I did however enjoy the roast beef with potatoes. Dessert was ok. Nothing to write home about . Our waitress was lovely and really attentive. I didn't feel we got our monies worth and the standards have dropped drastically to what they used to be.

Quarterdeck is very popular and always fully booked. Quite s bit of spicy foods - something to take note of. I find the food to be 'plastic' in nature. Mass produced. Tastes really nice but not something i would really want to do regularly. Almost like MacDonald just way more expensive. The desert consists of pretty much the same thing just a diffrent colour. The ice cream one particualr flavour was amazing. Apart from that there is not much more i can rave about. The services was really really bad. You need to go look for a waiter....they dont come to you...ever. They are however very friendly when you do find one. The exeprice was interesting...but i doubt ill ever go back. That was not value for money. I gave 2 stars for atmosphere because of the casino. There is no other atmosphere.

Called Quarterdeck restaurant this morning 10 Feb 23, at 11:02 to make a reservation for 3 people and the lady took down my details and confirmed 3 people booked for 19:00 today. I arrived at the restaurant with my guests, only to be told that no reservations were made. It was so embarrassing to be told this infront of other patrons. The person in charge made a plan to accommodate me and my guests. No hot drinks were available, despite it being on their menu, but the waitress somehow managed to get some tea at least. Wide variety on the menu, from seafood, to roast, to pizzas, to curries etc which was very good. Vegetarian options: Plenty salads, veggie curries and Margherita pizzas. Parking: Ample parking undercover if you have gold or platinum MVG sun international cards. Wheelchair accessibility: Enough space for wheel chair maneuvers.

On Sunday past we had a party of 21 for lunch. The reception was very accommodating, and eased us into our booking. The food was great, never disappointing, although the desserts need a HUGE upgrade. The only dessert we eventually only ate or could stomach was the ice cream. The little bite sized treats has no taste in them and only looked pretty colorful, the waffles were too flat,and hard to cut through. Chocolate sauce looked like it was watered down. So perhaps you need to look at redoing your desserts because that was a big NO

Include more options. The desserts was not impressive at all, particularly the mini cakes same and similar taste, too much and gelatine-like. Room for improvement. Furthermore the food is good and tasteful. Add seafood to the menu; prawns, shrimps, muscles, other fish, crayfish etc

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to thank you for a fantastic and memorable buffet lunch for me and my colleagues at your restaurant. I would love to see you continue offering such an appreciating dining experience to your guests and wish remarkable success to your business.

Wow, such an unprofessional business. I've been asking to book for an end of year function for my team since 2 weeks... The lady Roxy, sent me an email with the Corporate Lunch menu, I sent her an email right away to confirm booking and asked for the quote. She never sent me the quote or even replied. I sent 3 other emails to confirm and but no answer. None. After calling 5 times on different days, I got a lady on the phone that told me that they are already booked for this date. The manager was next to her and didn't even take the time to talk to me.... Respect, communication and service are core values to the hospitality industry and apparently, the Quartedeck management doesn't have any of it.

Mass produced food with no flavour. Tough meat inthe curry dishes. Tough and cold calamari. Bazaar pudding all colours of the rainbow. Your kitchen staff needs to put love and effort into the dishes. Not recommended as a dining venue but as a feeding pen for gluttonous individuals . PS Very limited wine selection and untrained waitrons wrt wine.

I pre-booked a 50th dinner with Roxy - who was very helpful and tried to accommodate all my requests. We were a small-ish group and we managed to secure the back area all to ourselves. What a lovely surprise that was. The food was excellent and the variety was impressive. Everything had a unique taste. And the soda's and waters on tap included in price was very welcome. The entire party said they had an excellent time. I really hope this place appreciates their chef/s as they sure know how to cook! Bongy & Khanyi were our assigned waitresses another surprise and they looked after us well - and stayed with us until the end. I would highly recommend this place. And will definitely be going back! Thank you to the Management and staff at Quarterdeck.
