Exceptional service . Arrival time - 7:45 , upon arrival I was applicant number 10 .. only one desk agent was working at the time and He moved through the line quickly , he declined and accepted applicant firm and strict , but at the same time was also lenient in special circumstances 5 stars . I then moved to do my eye test , I waited about 5mins before it was my turn , I was helped professionally , the eye test equipment was deeply sanitized- I was taken through the eye test smoothly . 5 stars. I then went to the cashier and there was no queue . The Cashier helped me quickly and also explained the process of my temp license , I was also provided with an expected date of when my license will be available for collection. Whilst standing at the Cashier , I used the rating system to rate the service I received The system actually works- well-done to the Developers . I rated them 5 stars because that's what Gallows Hill Traffic Department deserves !! I exit the building at 8:45 . The whole process was done in 45mins . - Waiting in line - [ 25 mins] -Check in with desk agent operator[ 5 mins] - Eye test [10 mins] - Cashier [ 5mins] Thank you for the excellent service ! :

Went during the week and the staff were professional and fast. However it's still a government building so expect the seat-shuffle along old and worn out chairs through aging departments. I was able to renew a driver's license in under 2 hours

My husband got to the centre at 14:10. Important to take your own pen to fill out the forms and make sure you have your photos and ID or your old driver's license. Renewal of driver's license went pretty smoothly - but there was only 1 person processing the forms - why aren't there more staff? . That said, the helper was friendly and worked very quickly but still couldn't help everybody and at 15:30 - they promptly closed and we were not able to pay for the license so we have to go back tomorrow. The surrounding area of the Department is filthy and there are vagrants living in tents along the side of the building. Several annoying car guards and vagrants makes it feel unsafe.

It was a painless experience. I got there at 07:45 on a Saturday morning, we went in at about 08:00, I was out by 08:50. Papers done, eye test done, temp licence issued. The people were extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

Don't know if I was just there on a lucky/uncrowded morning but the service was friendly and efficient, from the security guards to the initial processing staff to the eye-test/fingerprint people and finally the cashier. I was in and out in 30 minutes and left with a smile on my face [Very unusual for a person that generally hates bureaucracy/officialdom].

Don't know the charges for what licence renewals cost. Don't show you which line. No idea how many photos for what. Won't accept my proof of address. No inclination to want to help AT ALL. USELESS!! Don't even have pens to fill in forms!

Ridiculously long queues with only 2 cashiers. Senior citizens should not be expected to stand in queues for hours. Why if you have an optometrist eye test do you still have to sit in long queues again when only finger printing is required???

Fast, efficcient, friendly. 45 minutes from walking in to walking out. Went early on a Thursday morning, we were there by 07:45. The doors were open and the renewal forms were available. Both counters were open to take the forms and register your application.. 3 eye testing stations were open and 3 cashiers were open. You need proof of residence, your ID, your current licence, 2 ID photos. TAKE YOUR OWN PEN. Cost is R140, either cash or card. Grounds were clean.The inside of the building was clean. Your friendly attitude will gladly be returned.

The queue outside was very fast and the security officers very helpful. After being scanned for temperature by the front desk lady who spoke Mr home language South Sotho, I then proceeded to a counter to have my documents verified. My two photos were then attached and off I went to the eye test queue. That was done wait as only two officials were at their stations. Once the other two came bringing the total to four, the line moved at a steady pace. My test hardly took 2 minutes and I was done. Had to fill a form since my old Drivers licence was lost and I didn't bring an affidavit. Then I proceeded to the cashier to pay only to find out I have one infringement which I gladly paid and my Driver's licence was processed. Took my Temporary Drivers Licence and off I went. Temporary calls for Six 06 months. Great experience overall.

Arrived at around 9 AM - no queue. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The longest wait was the queue for paying only two tellers helping a queue of 30 odd people. Initial application and eye test was super quick! We were in and out in under two hours. Miles better than Ottery side!!!
