The worst car rental service I’ve ever used. Their service was terrible. We paid for a polo online and when we picked picked up the car they gave us a opel saying the polo’s were unavailable The opel we got was not not filled up to “full tank” but they expected us to bring it bank with a full tank even though we showed them that it didn’t have a full tank before we left. Its day light robbery. Do not let small things slide with this car rental. Actually rather not book with them at all!
Shocking service from the King Shaka branch. Hired a 8 seater vehicle and was told that we had to wait because the vehicle was being cleaned. 20mins later was given a Vito that was in shocking condition and was wet inside so we rejected that vehicle to be told that we have to wait for another vehicle to arrive. 15mins later they bring a H1 around which is in a better condition but has a slashed tyre. We had to wait for 30mins for a workshop manager only to be told that they cannot change the tyre and will have to give us another Vito. Imagine that! There are other H1 there but they cannot take a tyre from another one and replace this tyre. The only option is to take another Vito that they have cleaned. Well they have wasted 3hours of my time and created alot of stress during what should have been a good family holiday. I couldn't get a hold of any manager at the branch as the phones just rang and the national number I just a call centre and I was told 'we have no power here. Contact the branch' NEVER hiring a car from them again!
Very poor, unprofessional service. Honestly feels like they are doing you a favour and you have no value!! The call centre is a joke... Apparently you have to go into a branch to do anything useful. Why have a call center?? Called the airport branch today and twice someone just cut the call. I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere!!
They couldnt find the car i booked upon my arrival and gave me an automatic instead of manual. Still waiting on them to return my holding deposit its been 18 days, they also deducted almost R500 out of my account a few days after returning the car on time with a full tank. They sent me an unreadable PFD invoice. So i dont know if im being charged and what for. Tried calling a few times but i never get through to an agent. Do i just accept that i lost R3000 now?
Always a pleasure doing business here. Very professional at King Shaka airport. Rental prices are very reasonable, service is friendly, cars are impeccably maintained. when dropping the car off, they are also a well oiled machine. In less than a flash you are done, the car is checked back in, and you're on your way. Well done all
These guys are fraudsters and scam especially overseas visitors, they never return your deposit refund and Instead keep drawing money from your credit card. We ended up loosing thousands and it turned out we were not the only ones , people please stay away from these thugs before it's too late, there are better car rentals around .
Don't do it, go somewhere else. Leased me a car that had a tire with a slow leak and the charged me R3000 for the inconvenience! Worst service ever. Got promised that I would not be charged and they refuse to refund me. As I said, just don't do it. Plenty of other places to rent from here!!! I haven't had any issues with Thrify, try them instead.
Avis car rental. Please read fine print, they a joke. Even if you call in they don't explain to you that the person paying must also be the driver. I booked the vehicle via phone. Myself and my wife collected the vehicle, I asked them to make her the only driver because I am on heavy pain meds. I had to eft the money to my wife so that she can pay. I have no idea what the issue is if I am there in person as well. Rediculous service! They also never walk around the vehicle to inspect it in my presence for damage so how can I be help liable? The vehilce also pulls to the left so I guess that will be my fault!
Don't prepay for your reservation. I booked and paid through the Budget website but when I arrived to pick up the car they could not see it. It took far too long to convince them that I had actually already paid but they still put a hold on my credit card for the full amount of the reservation. It took over two hours to get out of there and over a week to be refunded the amount I prepaid.
