Went there on 16 February 2023 and I was 15 minutes late for my appointment. The receptionist was understanding and told me not to worry. After filling out the paperwork and paying, I did not wait long to be assisted. Nurse/Sister Davids assisted me and she is a prime example of an excellent medical practitioner who knows how to provide a service with a smile. Whilst doing the consultation and the procedure she made me feel at ease and relaxed. She walked me through the process of what to expect and I felt like I was confiding in a friend. I would highly recommend her as she is excellent at what she does. I saw how she interacted with other patients and she treated them with the same respect and friendliness. Comparing my experience of 2 years ago to today, I would say that their service has improved drastically and I will be making use of their services in the future. Ps: the number provided is the number of the call centre which then either puts you through to the branch of your choosing or can leave a message to such branch on your behalf. Furthermore, you do not have to make payment online, as they have card facilities and they take cash at least at this branch. You may ignore the SMS that you receive about having to make payment when booking this was confirmed by an online consultant and the receptionist at this branch.

I'm hoping writing this will get these guys to actually help me. I went in for a screening a whole month ago, and am STILL waiting to get my results. It's been far longer than 10 business days which I was told would be the maximum waiting time! Emailed them and got no response and have called twice, with the promise my message would be passed on. And yet I am still waiting. This is extra disappointing because I had such a great experience at the Cape Town clinic with a fantastic doctor taking my through the screening, and so I expected a higher level of service after the screening too. People pay you guys for this, come on.

I had a good experience at MS, the doctor & nurses were mostly friendly. The only problem is that they need a new friendly receptionist that has a better attitude, especially at a place like this where you need to feel at ease. She kept making cheeky remarks which was very unprofessional. But other than the rude receptionist, i was happy with the service i received & I would definitely recommend MS to others.

Worst experience in my life. Don't stick to scheduled appointments. Let you know after the fact that they are running behind schedule. Don't tell you the centre is closed between a certain time every day and then just expect you to wait. Staff have a terrible attitude and do not "handle you with care". I would never refer anyone here.

I was happy with the service But completely disappointed about the waiting time. Of the 3 times that I made an appointment at Rondebosch, I've had to wait at least a good hour before getting help. What is worse is that they work on a first come first served basis, they just won't announce it. What's the point of making an appointment if a fellow patient had an appointment after yours but because they walked in before you they get served first. I complained about this and the receptionist said that's just how their system works.

I had an implant removed and my arm got badly infected. I felt like thier hygiene protocols were not up to scratch. The nurse did not wear gloves when removing the implant. I was also not informed on how to care for the wound. I complained after the wound got infected and was told a clinical team member would get back to me, but no one ever did.

I visited Marie Stopes today, it was my first time using their services, but all I can say is that these guys r awsome. Christelle did my procedure and put me at ease immediately, she is a Rockstar 100%. I will definitely recommend MS to my friends and family. Thank you for the amazing service.

I had an incredible experience at Marie Stopes Cape Town. The online booking system was easy to use and so convenient, they answered all my questions and were upfront with pricing. However, when arriving at the centre I had to pay an additional consult fee as it was my first time there which wasn't communicated with me online. The waiting area was clean, welcoming and equipped with friendly staff. The waiting time was a mere 15 minutes. I was then looked after by Fawziah, who was kind enough to explain the IUD insertion procedure to me and talk me through every part of the process. Adding to this, I felt welcomed into the room and comfortable enough to sit for a short while after the procedure was complete to allow for my body to adjust to a new device. In no way did I feel rushed out of the room to make way for the next patient, which is so often the case with doctors. Fawziah is so knowledgable when it comes to female health and as a result sparked an insightful and interesting conversation on the topic. As women, we so often take a backseat when our reproductive and overall health is in question. It was refreshing to talk to a medical professional who not only had my best interests at heart but was open to hearing my past experiences with the Mirena and why I wanted to switch to the copper IUD. Fawziah offered great advice and guidance on the subject. I was blown away by the care taken to ensure I was comfortable and happy. Thank you to Marie Stopes and the amazing team who work there.

Contrary to other reviews, I had an amazing experience here. I showed up early to fill out paperwork, and I was already being assisted before my scheduled appointment time. Regrettably I do not remember her name, but the woman who helped me did everything in her power to help me leave with my problem sorted. She initially thought I may have to visit an OBGYN, but after multiple tries, she was able to personally assist me. This was a refreshing experience after struggling for hours to be seen by other clinics.

Actual consultation was OK, but very impersonal. However, waiting for results has taken more than 2 weeks and have still received nothing. Calling them doesn't help, they just put you onto the next person. So if you're expecting to get results back, don't bother. Disappointing.
