A very good place
I have been going to Maxime Hotel since 2009. The joint has always been the best of the rest after Summit and Royal Park. Sadly the owner passed in 2020. Four or five Asian looking fellas are now in charge. There is a lot of experimenting going on. In July 2021 they increased price of beer by 20% making it the most expensive beer in Inner City. There was a silent protest as customers stopped going. 2 weeks later they reduced by 2 rand. 27 August 2021 was a strange night as they were selling only 1L black label. There was no option of 750ml. Since I started clubbing, I have never encountered that situation. New management does not seem to know that 1Ls are not popular. Needless to say they were the most expensive 1Ls in inner city. The biggest problem they have is their inability to consistently sell cold beer. It seems they have no cold room. The majority of the times they sell straight from the crate. I hope new management gets their head right before they kill the place for good. Update Nov 2022 Maxime bouncers are the baddest bouncers I know. I am sure some of their victims died on their way home.
It has ladies of the night prosties .... The place is safe, security is very very tight.. But overall the place is goodRooms: 3/5
Everything is good but your bouncers they enjoy beating people as if their in a boxing match when people are drunk yoh kust be patient with them so 2 stars is for you
