This is an amazing hotel and I loved staying here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The balcony is gorgeous. This is probably the place to get the most stunning views onto Johannesburg. Perspectives matters and this is purely brilliant. And something more wonderful than the view is the hospitality and friendliness of the staff working there. I felt always very welcome and well cared for. It’s a place I can highly recommend staying at and whenever I return to Johannesburg I will come back. Thank you for the good time.
I had a great time staying at this fantastic hotel. The bedrooms are roomy and cozy. This balcony is stunning. Most likely, this location offers the most breathtaking views of Johannesburg. This is amazing because perspectives matter. Also, the warmth and kindness of the staff members working there are even more lovely than the scenery. I always felt really welcomed and properly taken care of. I heartily suggest staying there, and I'll return if I visit Johannesburg again. I appreciate the enjoyable time. The hotel is in need of an update. The room I stayed in had really old furnishings and decorations. The carpet was heavily stained. The couch also had a big stain on it which is off putting. The shower floor didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while. The tiles were brown and there was some mould on the floor tiles. This hotel really needs a revamp and has to do a deep clean in the rooms.
It’s a place for serious travellers. Beautifully located, surrounded by modernist architecture, but also embedded in a turbulent history of SA. The building itself is quite interesting as it’s round. Rooms are old but clean. Beds could be more comfortableRooms: 4/5
The hotel is beautiful. Big enough rooms and clean. Offers amenities in such as a restaurant, Bar, swimming pool and gym. Beautiful view of the city at night. However I was disappointed with the shower heads, they are old and releases dirty water at first and splash water. Only one guest towel and hand towel for two people. One toilet paper roll.
Friendly staff, lovely pool area at the rooftop with views of jozi. Practically everything is available within the hotel but seems best suited for business than leisure. Definitely not 5 star but it's decent Rooms: Very office like, not so homely, the carpets and sofas could do with a deep clean or replacement, the rooms are very spacious, cleaned daily, the beds are comfortable and linen clean, limited TV channels on all the TVs in the room, limited WiFi connection within the rooms but apparently they are working on it Nearby activities: There is lots to do, many nearby restaurants, public transport, malls and shopping complex, pubs, night clubs and day activities are within reach Safety: The hotel is in Braamfontein, which is known for its many homeless people, and petty crimes, it's safer during the day and the hotel itself is pretty secure, issue is going out Walkability: Everything is within walking distance of the hotel, the problem is just safety, it's safer to walk in the day time. Within the hotel, the lifts take a bit long to come so you may need to take stairs from time to time if you are in a hurry Food & drinks: Limited variety for non meat eaters. You are not allowed to leave with the food to your room which means you may find yourself hungry during the night again. Overall food taste is delicious, there is also a bar with ciders at R40 each
Definitely not a 4 Star hotel. More like a 3 star and that's being kind. Half of the TV channels don't work. Parking isn't free yet it's part of the hotel ??? At the foyer, I made coffee, but there was no milk, so we asked an employee who was sitting near the coffee machine, where we could get milk, her response was " I don't have " Our rooms were also not cleaned over 2 days Rooms: It's a spacious room but the TV channels were poor or not working Safety: Not a safe area Heard gunshots during the night
Regrettably the occupancy is still lower than historically which makes it hard to provide a better quality of service . The food variety and quality is not as good as under Protea , but the clientele have also changed . The conference rooms are still busy . We own a suite and pleased to see the room quality has been maintained .Rooms: 4/5
I always choose this hotel when I am visiting this part of JHB. Spacious rooms. Couch. A kitchen with fridge no microwave but there is table to eat at. There's 2 TVs, but they lack channels. There's a balcony with some good views. The rooms far exceed the expectance with regards to the price paid.Rooms: 5/5
We had 3 days work function .The co ference rooms,lunch area,entertainment area in floor 24 ,are all wow,the rooms too.The only challenge was internet connection
