EDIT: I can't reply to the hotel's response to my rating, hence the edit.  I think this hotel has so much potential and is well located and such friendly, helpful staff, however the interior maintenance and cleaning are seriously lacking everywhere. You don't need to be OCD to notice it needs serious TLC from conference facilities to rooms to bathrooms. Hopefully they are just recovering from the pandemic still and will recover.  Walkability: Walking distance from the Sandton Gautrain Station is a major advantage.  Food & drinks: Dinner at the Bull Run restaurant was not bad at all, although my beef fillet was overcooked.  I can&#39;t say the same for the buffet lunch served for conferences unfortunately, that was disappointing along with not serving any alternatives to coffee / tea during conference breaks. Not even cold  water or fruit juice as an option in summer heat. I don&#39;t drink tap water, however, that wasn&#39;t offered as an option either.  Breakfast at the same venue as the conference lunch was excellent though.

Great hotel in the middle of the Sandton area and it has a garden in the middle of the hotel. The hotel itself was established in 1949 but the rooms have been renovated in 2021. They will also provide purified drinking water that you can request. There is a free shuttle that runs every 30 mins between Hotel and Sandton Gautrain Station / Nelson Mandela Square. The lady receptionist was very kind enough to accommodate our early check in request which is around 12pm. The breakfast was also good with quite a variety.

We went there fir a conference. The food is 5 star. Thry have a generator to accomodate for load shedding. Their conferencing rooms are neat and clean. Overall great experience. Staff is very friendly. Rooms: 4/5

I must say this is one of the very few hotels i have been to here in SA but i certainly wasnt disappointed. The crew was very helpful and although i had gone there for a meeting i am going to book and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere i experienced. First you pay R50 per night in parkingwhich I really think is very bad  . I was not really impressed with the room. Room service was ok but you pay R35 for them to bring food in a tray[this is not a tip].  Rooms: The rooms are a sorry sight. No appeal to show you are away from home. Something like home from home.  Nearby activities: Next to the MARC which is easily accessible.  Walkability: You can walk around. The surroundings are ok to even walk at night. The rooms are somewhat at the back so room service might come in handy.  Food & drinks: In the restaurant  my chicken breasts came hard and chewy and seemed over cooked until I asked for another serving. Then they were succulent and enjoyable.

We were here for a workshop for work. Conference rooms were very nice and clean. Wifi was good. Lunch was very nice. Coffee was just not great outside the Conference rooms. Please change those machinesLocation: 4/5

Been returning for a number of years, last time 2017 ; unfortunately there's been a drastic fall in the service provided. Lots of little things that make the difference. Bradleymanager, did his best, but the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Examples, paid for a tour, on return reception wants payment !!?? Booked in for 1 night, on arrival stay extended, next evening locked out of room, card not activated. Shuttle ordered for airport, told that will call when arrives. Not called shuttle left??!  You want more ??

Very charming hotel with amazing staff. We always feel very welcome here. Thank You hope to see You soon.
