As a DMC, we booked in two clients, single rooms. The feedback was fantastic, and our clients will have us book them in at Mseni Beach Lodge again, whenever they go scuba diving.Rooms: 5/5
Not easy to drive there, lots of cattle walking next to the roads so have to drive carefully. If traveling far to visit it is still completely worth it. Staff very friendly, very clean and the food is delicious. No wifi in rooms.Rooms: 3/5
This is such a great diving resort!! I don't know if the skippers are employed there but Jerry, our skipper SAVED me!!! I had a wonderful time, felt safe, accommodated and it was hard leaving! Nearby activities: Diving Walking Beach Restaurant Cycle Safety: Very safe Walkability: No difficulty
I´ve had an amazing time there. My cottage was very nice and clean. The AC worked well and there always was warm water, so no load shedding problems. Mseni Lodge is a laid back and quiet place, secluded in the Sodwana Bay National Park. The cottages are in the beautiful forest / jungle and you can see a lot of butterflies, monkeys, deer and fowls. There was no TV or internet connection in the cottages, which is not a disadvantage for me. The restaurant has an amazing view and the food was tasty. The staff was amazing, from the facility manager to the waiters. They were super friendly and trying to deliver a great experience. Every matter e.g. door lock problem, AC problem, clothes to wash was dealed with very fast and satisfactorily. If you asked me about something to improve, i would say the WiFi for guests in the common areas. Nowadays internet really should be available without voucher and 500MB limits. Also some comfy opportunities for guest to relax, hang out, read ... should be available at the restaurant or resort in general.
We had an amazing stay in December 2022 at Mseni's Seaview House. We were 4 families, of which 3 of us all had small kids 6 years and under. I think this is the perfect place for families with older kids or no kids. Because it is such a stunning house with beautiful furniture, you don't want your kids to break anything and you are just more careful with the kids around. Also, when the kids play upstairs, you can hear their footsteps on the floor in all downstairs rooms. This might be bothersome if someone wants to take a nap / sleep in / etc. It is a stunning house, even though there were a few things that needed more maintenance. The shower door in our room was broken and it could not be fixed while we were there, so we had to shower with an open door. The gas braai was faulty and we could't use it. The lodge's swimming pool was amazing, although we got the vibe that the divers chilling there were not happy with the small kids around. The restaurant is not kiddie-friendly, they have signs that your kids are not allowed to run around or play inside the restaurant. Which is fine, you can still order and let the restaurant deliver to your unit. Staff was VERY friendly and it was such a treat to have the house cleaned every day. Even on the public holidays, which we didn't expect. I think the place is more suited for divers and not for family with small kids vacations. But overall a very nice stay, thank you.

What a great weekend, we didn't plan anything but was very surprise to get a place that could accommodate all our needs, so friendly, quality of food exceptional, great!!
Nice lodge with privacy and very good breakfast, shout out to the waitress who go the extra mile and are not afraid for a little joke or chat! Keep on the good work
It was the third time staying at Mseni Lodge. Two of us booked the self catering 4 sleeper ‘cottage’ which included a braai and small kitchenette along with an extra room for all dive equipment and a extra space to have an afternoon nap ; The staff are amazing, we left every morning to go dive when on return the beds had been remade, dishes washed and a refill of bottled water don’t drink the tap water! No power? No worries! They have a generator that powers everything so the AC can keep going. The pool is a lovely spot and there aren’t a lot of guests and the rooms are spaced out so you feel like you’re really away from everything. The restaurant is great if you don’t feel like cooking every meal or grab a cocktail for sundowners. The staff are friendly and even remembered us from a year ago! Will be back for sure.
