Palm Tree Lodge Kosi Bay

Jan was most accommodating when we arrived having booked a site near friends bungalow but wanting to move further away from the restaurant and bar. Large campsites, clean private ablutions, well maintained. We were there out of school holidays and 8 days incl 2 weekends. Very kids friendly so wanting quiet we found it a little loud, and the bar on Fridays was quite active. Easy place to stay.

Palm Tree Lodge has a 'home from home' feel with the quirky placards and nicely equipped games room. The bar is the centre focus of the place with a swimming pool acting as a moat. There is a second pool. Please be aware that there are some very uneven, bumpy stretches of sand, so with a normal caravan, you have to go very slowly. The management team run the place well. Thank you Jan for helping us with our flat tyre!

What a great place. Staff and manager super! Great facilities, pool, bar and kitchen. Bird walk and snorkling tomorrow. Very reasonable rates. Loving it.Rooms: 5/5

Palm Tree Lodge is a great base camp to explore the Kosi Bay area. We spent 3 nights with Jan, JJ and the team. Lovely, friendly people and so helpful! We did the boat tour of the lakes and saw the fish traps and so many birds. Also drove to Black Rock and Banga Neck. What a lovely break.Rooms: 5/5

Camping sites are huge with grass and enough shade, private ablution are well worth the extra few bucks with friendly helpful staff. Kids friendly with movie nights and play area. Great location to explore the area and close to the permit office. However if you are looking for a place away from all the noise like booming radio’s, the Palm Tree Lodge is not the place to be during school holidays anymore. Loud music is toleranted by management on the camp sites together with the bar's music making it impossible to relax to the sound of nature. It is evident that the vibe changed from a peacfeul, close to nature feeling to a vibrant lively, busy one. If that is your kind of holiday, you will enjoy it. If you are looking for a more relaxing, quiet, natural vibe, rather try another resort in the same area. I do suggest that the description on the website is updated accordingly.

It was amazing and I had lots of fun with my family. Making new friends. The movie night was very fun with my friends and you'll find the drinks amazing. There are a few dogs ,so if you're scared of dogs then it's not the place for you , but they are very friendly and they'll enjoy your company. Snorkeling with the fish was an amazing experience.

Very well managed and maintained, only camp in the area with grass. Can be a bit noisy but we loved our stay and will come back. Fantastic pools and games room to keep kids busy during rainy days. Big bar and restaurant. If you don't like noise or drunk campers camp far away from the bar, this is the only negative.

It's a very nice and clean holiday getaway. Private bathroom next to camp site . Friendly staff, always willing to help. The beach is a bit of a drive and some of the locals around the Lodge like to party late into the night. But all and all a very nice place to stay at for a week or two.

Friendly staff and clientele, close to the lakes and has the best pub in kzn. Food is great, rooms are spacious and you get much more for your money than you would expect. Will be back.Rooms: 5/5

Lovely place to stay when fishing at Kosi Bay. Nice swimming pool and bar with Resturaunt on the property, great play area for young kids and a nice entertainment area for older kids with pool table, table tennis and darts.Rooms: 4/5
