What a great place to stay in Cape Town! If like me you'd prefer to avoid corporate hospitality and to enjoy a genuinely friendly and warm welcome in a smaller establishment, I'd strongly recommend Newlands Guest House. Our clean and comfortable room had a beautiful courtyard outlook, and it was very quiet and peaceful. Although the weather was too cold for me to want to use it, there is also a superb swimming pool in the courtyard. Breakfasts were excellent, freshly made to order each day. The guest house is very conveniently located for easy access to the shops and restaurants in nearby Dean Street. I hope that we'll return to Cape Town at some point, when I'd definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you, Sarah and John, for a very relaxing break in Cape Town.
Good location. Great food. Great staff. Safe. Rooms: The single room needs a new carpet but the other rooms are fine. Nearby activities: Not far from mountains, beaches, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Walkability: You can walk to the shop and restaurants. Food & drinks: Many shops and restaurants nearby.

Spacious, warm. Great breakfast. We were there for a very short stay but we're made to feel so welcome.
John and Sarah could not have done enough for us............We messed up on car hire, and they helped us alot there..........John and Sarah are very knowledgeable on all of Cape Town and give you very practical advise on where to go and what to do. The Guesthouse is very comfy, breakfast was divine . It has a warm friendly atmosphere about it.
Excellent hosts friendly and informative. Rooms provided are clean and comfortable. Located near some beautiful areas and attractions. Will definitely be staying here again when I'm back in Capetown.

Beautiful Guesthouse with spacious rooms. The owners are really friendly and welcoming and willing to have a chat with you. Close to The Foresters Arms Pub and Cavendish shopping center.
