A fabulous experience: clean, comfortable, friendly, professional, affordable. My favourite place in Cape Town to stay!Rooms: 5/5
Very nice place, comfortable, clean, the service is very nice The guys are awesome Will definitely come back Rooms: 5/5
Thank you for the wonderful stay. The room was comfortable, light and airy with stunning views of Newlands and delightful pool area, Netflix access and the detached bathroom was clean, neat and private. The house has a wonderful lay out, and inviting set up and the breakfast was delicious. This guesthouse offers the best of both: independence and access to common areas. Kshe and Herman were friendly and helpful, quick with check in and check out and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable.
We had such a lovely and peaceful visit. The host was very helpful and welcoming, our room was so cozy and elegant with the most beautiful view. Perfectly ended our stay off with a pleasant forest walk. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We will be visiting again soon. With regards Johan & LisaRooms: 5/5
Panorama guest house exceeded all my expectations.. from booking my stay with Marthin, to being welcomed and booked into my lovely room by Pixie and Herman. Both where so friendly and caring. The view from the deck and pool was amazing, sundowners at the pool is highly recogmended!! The rooms are so comfy and warm and has everything you need and more. The staff made sure I was always comfortable and the breakfasts where a highlight and great way to start my days. Cant wait to stay at Panorama Guest house again!! Great value for money!! Keep up the good work guys!
The pictures online are way better than the property looks in real life. We stayed for two days in January. The view from the pool area is nice but the pool area is a bit old and there are dogs around and the dogs also swim in the pool. Which I think is unacceptable, as I got an allergy and I think you would have to tell the guests beforehand about animals. We wouldn't have booked there. The area around is nice, close to the botanical garden. Moreover, our room was supposed to be two separate rooms but we arrived and we got a room with no view, even though the reservation said so, and only one big room even though we were 3 people.
An absolutely stellar view from the deck of the entire expanse of Cape Town. But the best part were our hosts. Evan and Herman are really nice, organised and very chilled people. I highly recommend asking them to show you their performance skills, they are incredibly skilled fire dancers! Don't forget to tip!Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful view day and night and the smell of fresh air. Service was excellent and very friendly, would rate this one of my top 3 Cape Town stay overs so far Rooms: 5/5
By far the worst accommodation experience I have ever had. If there was a lower rating than 1 star, this would apply here. From my first interaction with the host Quentin I was spoken to like a dog. He is authoritative and belligerent in tone over the phone, and even worse in person. He quoted me a self-catering room and breakfast for three days. On arrival he first showed me to the wrong room. When I was eventually shown to the right place he didn't explain anything about breakfast times or how and where I should come and go. The next morning he conveniently forgot that he was meant to serve me a breakfast. When I called to remind him, there was first no answer. After finally getting hold of him I had to endure a barrage of swearwords over the phone. On top of all of this, he continuously nagged me to pay the final 50% of the fee at the time my understanding was that this is payed upon moving out. At breakfast after the first of three nights staying there, the first thing he barked at me was "did you pay that money" I was at LEAST expecting a "good morning". When I told him that I hadn't yet, he started shouting, swearing and insulting me. He then told me that if I don't pay immediately I can "find another B+B!". I remained calm and told him what I thought of the way I was treated and my initial understanding of the situation. Like a child, he continued to mutter to himself in the kitchen. I told him to leave the breakfast and that I would be moving out immediately. On top of all this, I had payed a 50% deposit - my stay was meant to be for three nights and three breakfasts and I ended up staying for one night and one breakfast - so essentially I was robbed. My overall impression of Panorama guest house was an utter nightmare of an experience. I wouldn't stay there again if THEY PAYED ME to do so. The service was unprofessional to put it lightly. The host couldn't even remember what he had quoted me, what room I was meant to move into and that my stay included breakfast! Furthermore I felt that my personal well-being and general safety was under threat during my stay because of the hostility of the host, and this is meant to be a 'relaxed B+B'! I recommend you to stay as far away from Panorama Guest House as possible. You have been warned.
What an awesome stay. My compliments to Dirk Kristen, Herman and Pixie. Great service, delicious breakfast and a fascinating and peaceful stay. Highly recommended.
