The management is extremely unreasonable. They treat tenants like first year varsity students with their rules. No visitors after 10pm. Facility Manager is borderline racist. She asked my friend who came to visit me if she's a cleaner.
Beautiful self catering apartments, centrally located in Sandton, very secure. The building has generators, so you don't feel the effects of loadshedding.
The location is good near the stores and other amenities. The rooms are spacious. We did not have any insecurity issues it was good. They ensured everyone put on their mask and sanitized. However: - The rooms was not clean - cockroaches were all over. - The extra blanket in the closet was dirty and dusty. - The kitchen is not well equipped with utensils - The employees response is too slow and at times no response to request we made e.g. request to clean the room, request to have get some utensils missing. CONCLUSION It's a good place but can be better if they improve the services and ensure rooms clean. Kindly check ensure the room is ready before a client checks in.
Worse night of my life, I got there hoping to pay at the reception but when I got there there was no reception only the security team, they told me I can only pay online so I did via booking.com, I then showed the security team the confirmation number and pin. I was then told I need an apartment number and I can only get it from the apartment manager/agent so I called the number that Booking.com provided and the number was off. I was at the reception from 16:00 to 20:00 trying to get hold of the manager still no luck, I ended calling Booking.com as well that also tried to call the property manager but also couldn’t reach him due to his or her phone being off and still off till today. I ended up sleeping at the garage and Booking.com refuses to refund me till today even though I didn’t sleep at the place.
We had the best stay at the Sandton Executive Suites - Hydro Park. The staff were extremely friendly - from the security to the housekeepers and the receptionist. Everyone made us feel welcome. We received excellent service from Violette at reception. She took care of everything we needed for the weekend and made us comfortable. The rooms were clean and tidy. Will definitely recommend this place and go back in future.
Reception was very unwelcoming. The floor we stayed on smelt like curry and boiled meat. The room was dusty and not well kept. There were oily stains all over, doors and handle were sticky. The shower had mold. Would absolutely not recommend. The hotels atmosphere and vibe just feels wrong. Felt very unsafe.
We checked in, and the room had sticky stuff and pieces of plastic lying around on the floor and basin- the receptionist did move us to a different room, and everything was OK but still some surfaces haven't been cleaned cup residue on the couch, and counters which in covid-19 times makes you worry about their safety standards. The coffee machine was absolutely disgusting- there was milk left in it which had turned into a dark brown sludge. So much potential, but cleanliness is not their priority.
I was a long term tenant here. I truly love all that is good about it: location, back up generator, overall cleanliness, the views and the sparkling pool, free to use gas braai grill. There is just one sore thorn on my side that’s driven me to not even consider renewing. Their policy on visitors. It basically rivals that of a maximum security prison or a first year student accommodation.
Contrary to my fears from reviews I've seen online about this place we recieved great service from reception and security. The apartment could be cleaner though and refurbished. And the TV in the main bedroom was not working. Overall not a bad place, just needs some TLC to be on the level as other hotels and modern apartments in the area.
