Ster-Kinekor East Rand Mall

Extremely filthy. Inside the cinema the floors are sticky, seats full off snacks and the cup holders filthy. No soap in bathroom. Not to talk about toilets not being cleaned. Come on guys help us built memories with our children and not memories that require therapists. Wonder if future generations will visit Ster Kinekor...

The seats were comfortable, with plenty of leg-room. My main complaint was that the movie playing in the next door cinema was so loud that it interfered with the enjoyment of ours.

I'm usually happy with service and cinemas here, however recently it's been terrible. My friend and I arrived and it was filthy inside the cinema, slushy and soggy popcorn on the floor. It also smelled absolutely awful inside. They had not switched the aircon on and everyone in the cinema was sweating. Some of the chairs and cupholders were broken. The lady behind the snack counter was also rude to us. This was on the 27th of September 2019 during IT: Chapter two, cinema 7.

How in the world cant you buy popcorn and coke cash? Everything is card only,when you want to buy a ticket or ask something you have to search for the people working here,and then they don't know or have to ask someone something, why are they even working here?

This is the worst place to ever watch a movie.... The ladies behind the Snack counter were absolutely rude and so was the so called *Supervisor*... They have no respect or manners for anyone.... When my brother and I asked one of the ladies for Help they kept telling my brother to give them his sweets.... I will never go back to that Ster Kinekor ever again! I would much rather stay home and watch a movie....

One day they will understand what a movie experience is supposed to be like. Booking a movie for 5:30 and at 5:45 they are still oblivious that nothing is happening. Everything has to be ordered through machines or beforehand and then they have no stock. It's absolutely rediculous. The technician is not on site and for several evenings in a row they cannot get the movies to play. It's 2 ladies running the whole place!?! We were moved to a different cinema, unsanitised with a small screen. The movie was playing with the lights on and no sound. We requested a refund and was told we have to email the ticketline for a refund. Stay away.... SterKinekor does not deserve to still be in business.

No lighting as we walk down the stairs in the theater which is a health hazard.

So it's about 3 years since our last movie at Ster Kinekor cos they were rubbish and I can confidently say they have NOT improved! This is why people don't go out to the movies!

The most appalling experience ever. They had a technical issue the previous day but they still took in people and I got to the cinema and there was no sound but the movie was playing. It took ages to sort that out. The moment it was sorted, the sound and pictures were not in sync. They said they will reboot and guess what, we had to wait another hour just for that. Asking for a refund was not on their cards so just to get a voucher we waited another 30-45 minutes. I've never in my life experience such bad service at a cinema.

Stopped going there about a year ago, generally filthy in the cinemas, poor maintenance of seating, aircons, lighting. Staff incl MNG have no perception of service and/or basic customer service. Prices for all movies and snacks are high but to pay this for disgusting service and neglected premises is no longer an option. More expensive at Emperors Nu Metro but a far better option. Centre MNG should have raised this with SK years ago but never seemingly done.
