Very pleasant and enjoyable. Serene and tranquill environment close to nature. It was awesome staying right next the river and even more awesome to be able to do river rafting, swimming, & jumping from the cliff in the river, for almost two hours. The main drawback was the gravel road leading to the resort. The other two negatives were that swimming pool is rather on the small side, and it lacks a tuck shop for the essentials that you run short of. Staff was excellent, helpful, and friendly.
Stonehill Riverlodge was the best lodge I have ever been at. We stayed at the 8 sleeper unit 3 and the Jacuzzi was just outside our unit. The unit itself was clean and all the small details were thought of to make our stay more comfortable. All the staff were friendly and quite knowledgeable about their business. There is so much to do and what got me cracking was the outside dominoes and jenga games, classic! Looking forward to staying longer than a week this time . Thank you Stonehill Team for giving us an experience we will never forget Rooms: The rooms are beautiful and smells clean everyday after the cleaners were finished with it. I Love the mesh on some of the windows to keep the bugs out and the 2 bottom main rooms are beautiful. Nearby activities: The reception area provides all the board games you would need. There is an outside dominoes, jenga, chess and trampoline area. You can hike, bike ride, River Rafting and Archery Safety: Because this place is so peaceful and far away from the town or even the city, gave us this sense of peace and security Walkability: We hiked the long routes and short. No dangerous encounters but the wildlife on the reserve was breathtaking. Noteworthy details: The finer details were thought of. They made provision for loadshedding, they formed a WhatsApp group to keep you updated on the schedules and what was happening.
Beautiful peaceful place to stay, loadshedding became an issue, especially during the times that you wanted to enjoy the jacuzzi. The resort should maybe invest in inverters for units or solar power to keep lights and TV on during loadshedding.Rooms: 5/5
Amazing g helpfull staff, the place is so well looked after. The lawn is like a green carpet, soft and luxurious! I love it. Such a special place surrounded by nature. Can't wait to go againRooms: 5/5

The staff at the reception are so welcoming and they even provide games for you e.gmonopoly,30 seconds .The location is on another leveland it's so peaceful. As i write about my experience I'm currently there in Stonehill River Logde.Rooms: 5/5

Perfect weekend getaway. Fantastic ambiance, amazing friendly staff. Loved the Archery Lesson. Jeremiah is a great teacher. Had lots of fun .... Will definitely visit this place again.
Family vacation at Stone hill river lodge was AMAZING!!!!! We were in Unit 1 which was fully furnished and equipped very modern touch to it. The space has a home and comfy touch to it with of course a tranquility vibe to it as well . Oh, the view from the deck looking over the river was BREATH TAKING!!!!! They also provide daily activities for kids and adults. Neil tour guide was truly a GEM! He was very accommodating and assisted and explain every activity. The archery very well maintained. Fishing was so much FUN! , even thou a great fishing spot is quite a distance however it is worth it. Just walking the kids to the park was pleasant the lodge is Huge so the kids can run around and the place is really well maintained even the grass. PEEPS Jacuzzi & Hot tub is a MUST!!! Overall, can't fault anything It's literally naturally beautiful. Highly recommend for an adventurous and natured FAMILY..
The entire trip was awesome. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A great place forbkids to play and run around. So much to do and see. The nature and river made it spectacular. Surely going back soonRooms: 5/5
