They sure know how to cook meat here. Had a wonderful dish of grilled chicken breasts which were full of flavour. Great selection of sides, the veggies and roast potatoes were delicious. Friendly staff and efficient. Would definitely recommend trying them out if you're in the area.Food: 5/5

The Avenue Restaurant is the most amazing, friendliest restaurant around. The staff caters to your every need, superb, top class service from the point of arrival to departure. Prices are on par and the BEST place for steaks and ribs. Speak of ribs falling of the bone.... SUPERB!!!!Food: 5/5

Want to feel like family? Almost like you are eating dinner with family at a Sunday lunch that only mom can make, then this is the restaurant to visit. You are immediately welcomed with a friendly hostess. The owner came around twice to come and say hello and find out how the food was. The table had chicken and butternut salad, burgers and steak with a delicious blue cheese and mushroom sauce. Go say hi and spend an evening You will not regret it. Try some dessert shooters, the lime one is the best. Thanks very much

Service was excellent. Atmosphere very soothing and friendly Food explained and presented very well. The 2nd person was very happy with her burger meal and zucchini and halloumi salad. My seafood pasta was good not the best as I found it very oily. I must say and comment the amount of seafood in the pasta was a lot. Very unusual, just a little oily. The Chilly popper where excellent, my lips and tongue where dancing a tune of their own. Desert, cheesecake very fresh and excellent and the wine that I had was excellent, very disappointed that I was the only driver hence one glass was all i could have. Worth another visit to this establishment

To my wonderful, attentive, friendly and informative waitron. Eric Your customer service was splendid, you done everything to the Tee, what a gentleman. I appreciate your patience and geniune care. I took my family to spend some quality time, with good food and we all were well taken care of as you intially stated. Your recommendations were spot on and a good help as deciding on a meal was a slight challenge for us. We enjoyed every moment of our meal, the quality and quantity of the dishes were divine, so a hats off to the chefs. Absolutely brilliant! From the meet and greet at the door to seating, assisting, and the extra handsthe lady with short red braids that assisted in clearing our table all displaying geniune care and kindness for guests. It was an all round 10/10 experience. Hope to try the shakes and desserts soon! Keep up that vibe and great customer service, Eric you're killing it, thank you for going the extra mile and confirming certain detailsrice/fries, and those sweet potatos too the little details do make a big difference and they don't go unnoticed. It was once again an absolute pleasure to dine at The Avenue. Their food was succulent and delicious, couldn’t resist to dig in with my hands. Despite the mix up with our reservation, they more than made up for it and left happy!

Fabulous, thoughtful and delicious! I was so impressed with this place. Such a warm team from hostess, waiter and chef that checked up on us. Food was divine! Steak and tuna both excellent. Service was swift. I would totally recommend this place and will be back soon for their sirloin steak! Vegetarian options: We had a divine halumi starter

Excellent establishment, always a treat to dine at. Staff are friendly, thoughtful and engage with patrons to a level that shows familiarity but is not invasive; which is not easy to pull off. Staff are also extremely knowledgeable of the menu and entertain patrons asking for exceptions. The cream cheese gourmet burger with the halloumi & pattha deluxe add-on is absolute comfort food. The Avenue is a true Cape Town icon.

The Avenue has once again proven to be the best in the steak business!!! The food, the ambience all makes for a great time. The only disappointment is that you will never enjoy a steak at any other establishment again. Once you have had The Avenue steak, and that is anyone of their choices, you are hooked.Food: 5/5
