About Diane
Diane has a special interest in the therapeutic value of the creative arts.
She uses music and art processes with individuals and groups of all ages to
stimulate creativity, self-awareness and deep personal transformation.
Her many years as a percussionist with the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra have given her tools for offering support to performing musicians through music-listening, imaging and creative expression using various art materials.
Diane also teaches process art, facilitating creative expression and inner development through Art Play.
Her work with Pre- and Primary school children, as well as school teachers, focuses on the joy of shared song and movement while inviting imagination through poems and story and experimentation with Sound Colour using musical instruments and drawing.
The corner stone of Diane's work lies in her affiliation with The Chantel Oppelt Institute for Applied Alchemy in Cape Town. This work supports Diane's passion for a commitment to finding balance in life through excavating and scaffolding a space for oneself within a container of understanding one's purpose in life.
Diane has created The Healing Room as a space for Purposeful Remedies - to assist with specific needs relating to holistic health care. There are intangible products on offer, as mentioned above, including energy healing, and tangible products such as arts and crafts, incense, plants and books for promoting creativity and general well-being.
