The Salt House

This gets 5 stars for me as the hosts were so good. Breakfast was excellent and the room was airy and comfortable. The one small drawback is that in Winter it is cold at night.Rooms: 5/5

The staff, views and breakfast make this place a treat. Really helpful, cheerful and dedicated team, clean, comfy room, big soft bed and crisp sheets, spacious, sunny accommodation, and gorgeous views over the valley from room and veranda, tropical garden and nice pool. Guests all seem very content. Very good value stay and feel good venue.

Yamikani and team were awesome! We were there for just 2 nights but enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Great views, amenities and breakfast on offer. Very friendly, flexible and showed great attention to detail. Rooms are great, well furnished and has everything you need including a desk to work at - unit 1.Rooms: 5/5

We had a marvellous few days at The Salt House. We were greeted by friendly staff members who made us feel at home. The rooms were spacious and comfy. There was a wonderful view of the mountains which made our stay restful and enjoyable. There are some lovely restaurants in Hout Bay and the location is very central. Definitely will visit again when in Cape Town.

The best place to stay in Hout Bay. Loved every minute of my stay. Rooms are perfect and clean, breakfast is 100% great, beautiful views also. So close to hout bay beach & chapman’s peak. I loved it here and recommend it always. Thank you Mr Banda and team for the hospitality. Definitely coming back again

The SALT house went out of their way to accommodate us very last minute. Banda was amazing and very attentive to all our needs. The king size bed was a great surprise! Super comfy and HUGE!Rooms: 5/5

The staff were very nice, but other than that, it was disappointing. Turn down service was incomplete, appliances were broken, the room had a draft and the wifi was basically non-existent would be kicked from it every few minutes.Rooms: 1/5

Recent stay at Salt was an absolute joy! We arrived very late at night and were greeted with a big smile. Staff were very pleasant and cook up a mean brekkie. Bi, the manager/host was a delight and very clued in to the local scene. Room was spacious with a huuuge bed. Will be staying again and can’t recommend it enough!Rooms: 4/5

The Salt House has a unique "magic" that you will not find anywhere else. It is a special and tranquil guest house. The bed, view, vibe and breakfast were 10/10. If you want to relax and reload, this is definitely the place to go to!
