The Train Lodge

If i cou give them NO STARS i would..... Arrived at the airport 22:30 and phoned them to see if everything is okey, only to find out our booking was CANCELLED...i mean they dont even have the audacity to phone us to tell us we dont have space to stay. Thank goodness we found a place to stay. Very unprofessional of them. Ill post on evey review site just so that nobody will ever be in the same position as us. PATHETIC

We stayed there for a week with our children from Theo Twala Primary School based in Jorburg, Springs. Hospitality was great hence it was a self catering, beds are small for adults but great for children hence it was a Grade 7 farewell. Our children really enjoyed the stay.

Must say we were attending an huge event. Not very organized with the qeue management as people were entering at the gate as they pleased although others were standing for hours in the qeue waiting to enter. The musicians did not know where to enter. The 'parking attendants' are the local 'bergies', who don't care where you park as long as they get paid and leaves after getting paid. The parking for vehicles are in any case very limited, the road is to narrow to allow 2 vehicles to drive simultaneously past each other. If you park your vehicle further down the road, it becomes scary/dodgy and there is no security to watch the vehicle and you can expect your vehicle to be broken into or stolen.

I went to an event here and the venue was too small for the amount of people attending. If you do use this venue keep the number of people limited to ensure there's enough room for everyone.

Wow I don't know why is it on google or called a lodge, as a train lodge was expecting good makeup of the train coach but getting inside the coaches, the rooms are too small very hot and no space on top of that its a sharing bathrooms for a very high cost... Not a good place at all

Lovely little outta the way place ... $$ budget range ... Pity the local companies around don't try employ some of the really educated and clean unemployed persons who reside in the area... Take some time to go speak to these ladies and gentlemen who just need a little hand-up not a hand out.

Their booking system needs to be reviewed. After a week of emails and unsuccessful phone calls, I've not been able to make a booking or receive any confirmation from them. Pity as I was looking forward to spending a night there.

The rooms them self are in an old train. You go from a platform into your rooms. Great for backpakers on the move. A good experience

had a lovely stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly from the time we arrived until we left.
