Timbavati Safari Lodge

The lodge was wonderful. Food awesome. Only complaint about the lodge is lack of coffee in the rooms. We had a full day safari with the lodges own guide & vehicle. Vehicle was poorly maintained & broke down just inside the kruger park. Replacement vehicle sent but that had no radio. Dread to think what would have happened if that one broke down too. Ended up being 2 hours delayed with no real apology given or compensation/discount offered. The guide was not very informative & hardly spoke.

Well run.. easily accessible and serve good meals. Nice atmosphere and a good bar and pool. Only downside is the lack of a coffee station in most rooms.

Geeat coffee. I did not overnight, but I enjoyed the breakfast. The staff were lovely and very welcoming.Service: 5/5

The steak being served there is just tasteless. The reception, bar and rooms are dusty. The rooms get cleaned once in 2 days, and so is the linen. The food gets ordered from the bar, the waitresses carry the food uncovered from the restaurant to the bar or to the rooms. I have never encountered such

Sweet little lodge houses, good but no extraordinary food. Great safari guides. Takes the extra turn back just for you and enjoys to find the animals. Comfortable jeeps with great seats, suitable for whole day safari.

Beautiful can't even begin to explain Timbavati! It's right outside of Kruger National Park and has amazing staff, animals, and accommodations. I loved every second of my two day stay and would 100% recommend this camp to anyone who enjoys a bit of luxury with a Safari!

Such a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and rystic Bush setting. The chalets are decorated in local Ndebele tribe patterns. Rooms are clean and tidy with the essentials. Kruger Orpen gate is just 30km away.

Food always on point... The rooms need to have a fridge and need to have glass wall for the shower to avoid water running all over the bathroom. If I should go again I’m going to exclude village walk. Gamedrives awesome..... No TV in the rooms

Beautiful Safari lodge very close to the Orpen gate, you can either go into Krüger with your own vehicle or join one of their Game Drives. The new, huge safari tents are very spacious including a bathroom and a view over the property, they got Zebras, Antilopes and even a Hyena that comes by on the property from time to time! Everything you can wish for with great food available and a nice bar/lounge area.
