The nursing staff in the surgical ward are trying really hard and to be honest they have improved I have multiple surgeries. The think that is really letting them down and cannot even get the basics right is the food service for the patients. What an epic disaster! It’s a complete mess. Waiting 8 hours for a juice. Not delivering meals at all after several calls. When your meal arrives it’s completely incorrect I’m vegetarian. Thereafter getting told that the kitchen is closed and there is nothing they can give me. This is after not getting my lunch or breakfast. It’s not hard to get simple things right. I spent hours checking up, calling and till now luck. It’s a hospital, we don’t expect 5 star meals just basic food that’s delivered. When I finally got a cup of tea. It came with no spoon, no milk and no sugar. The nurses had to use their own kitchen to give me something. Awful!
This is by the best hospital I've ever been too... the maternity ward is absolutely a delight, best nurses, big shout out to Abigail and the wonderful staff there... Made my partners birthday feel even more special... 10/10
I had the best experience at Vincent Pallotti! From my arrival at the emergency section, up until by bed in cedar ward. I came in with intense abdominal pain, and the nurse immediately checked my sugar which was very low, she got me hooked on a drip, and made sure that I’m at ease while waiting to go in for my CT scan. The doctor confirmed that it’s my appendix and it will need to get removed. The nurses in cedar ward looked after me, trying to minimize my pain, and constantly checking up on me. Their friendly service alone made my stay easier. The doctor that operated on me did a great job, always had a smile on his face. Grateful for all the staff that worked on me, and assisted me. Really thankful for the service and efforts.
With this review I want to thank all the doctors, nurses and cleaning and catering assistants for all the love and kindness they provide to their patients in the postoperative period. This was my second time at Cedar Ward and I would always go back as long as it's nothing serious, you know. Each one of you had the necessary patience to calmly explain everything to me, which did not make me feel that my bad English affected communication I speak Spanish. I wrote down some of my nurses' names: Zama, Zonke, Jane. Just a few and I'm sorry I didn't get all the names so you know how grateful I am. They are a great work team. All my love and thanks.
Vincent Pallotti has been the only hospital I've ever gone to for many years. After my stay last week, I will never, ever, go back there again. It's unfortunate that my treating doctors have rooms there so I am forced to go back for appointments. I am saddened at the decline of what was once a wonderful hospital.
Doctors, receptionists, staff, as well as cleaning staff, were all very polite and cheerful. Always greeting and making the hospital visit/appointment as comfortable and pleasant as possible!
Took my mom to Emergency Room this week. Lovely nurses, efficient, caring service. Special shout out to Siphiwe for his comedy. Also great care in Birch ward. Impressive hospital, very grateful to all!
World class medical care. Exquisitely skilled thoracic surgeon Dr Moodley, assisted by Dr Singh, and an immensely professional team of registered, motivated nurses. Delicious food adjusted to changing needs, served by the friendliest of hostesses. There is literally nothing to complain about. The place is world class.
To add a star is generous. Waited 7hr hours in ER with my dad, a full report will be addressed to the Hospital Manager. Do not use this facilities even if you have the best medical Aid they will find a way to send . you to a Government Hospital if they do not want to admit you into there hospital. Worse experience with elderly people it is a disgrace that there is no compassion after taken an oath to treat people with dignity
I just wish the nurses would take a bit more time to explain what meds are being administered. It can save time and speed up healing, especially when the patient has a long history that they are not familiar with. Asthma in kiddies seems to baffle people other than that the staff was sweet and Dr Boshof is good.
